I don't know if this is related to the link between covid and fatties but our health insurance is with the hospital and they sent my wife a form about getting a $600 bonus for being healthy.
She has to go to her doctor and he fills out the form of height, weight, and all the blood stuff.
BUT, this form requires 'Waist Circumference.' IE, how big is your stomach?

I have never seen a short form with waist circumference and in 30 years of employment she's never been offered this kind of bonus (she'll get it cuz she's skinny).

I'm wondering if the fat nurses (and there are some) are gonna get pissed. I've posted before that this is gonna be the next oppressed group that politicians will pander to.

Yes. And BMI, but it's been that way for several years.

IDK, the dr. has to fill out the form. What's the difference between those two?

I’ve never heard of insurance giving out bonuses. Is that a thing?

She works at the hospital that is our insurance company. It's a big hospital complex. So, I don't get a bonus for being fit even though I'm covered by their insurance. Only she does in her paycheck.

Military has been monitoring it for 30 years, more seriously about 15 years ago.

We do this every year as a “wellness screening”. Of course we have employer paid ins so the bonus goes to them.
