I voted for Mitt Romney so that means I voted for Paul Ryan. I voted for John McCain. I voted for George W Bush, twice.
I’m done with them. They lied to me for my entire adult life and I cannot unsee it.
I’m not voting for their proxy.

Like I said, it's alarming that you're unaware of don't understand.
And you didn't mention Trump extending Fisa and signing off on the creation of CISA, where your personal liberties are concerned.

Desantis and his practiced “porn star” zinger tells me that he’s not the one making the decisions. I hope I’m wrong.
And Trump's shite slinging calling Ron a pedo, calling him gay, insulting his wife calling a GOPe stooge when there is literally nothing in his record otherwise but solid conservative governance that has made his state a model for the rest of America doesn't bother you?
DeSantis is demonstrably more conservative and better government executive on every level than Trump. There is literally nothing in his ACTUAL record to draw any other conclusion. Trump is full of shite and some random nobody on Fox doesn't validate shite.
Its laughable how you Only Trumpers think you are somehow woke when you are nothing but pathetic sheep incapable of thinking beyond what Trump messages to you.

You cannot logically support Trump and claim you're concerned with financial (big spending/deficits and pro-Entitlement) or liberty (YUGE supporter of the police state) issues
For people who came to their conclusions through emotion, you cannot confront them with logic.
Which is why it's fruitless to point out the incredible hypocrisy and double standards and outright lies of the room temperature IQ MAGA movement - for them it's all about emotional investment in one person and they will twist themselves in knots to explain why Trump will drain the swamp during a 2nd term when he did no such thing during his first.

That's what I thought.
Y'all have been separated from the only party of dissent left. You folks will not be able to support conservative causes or candidates ever again.

I don't like the establishment, but it does take a coalition to win elections.
You want a party so pure that it would never challenge the Democrats nationally

You’re so right - the “impeachments” were a real show of Republican Party support and dissent

Which is where Trumpism failed.
You cannot alienate over half the country and win.

You can't even define "Uniparty" with a specific definition

You're seeing what you're being told to see, which doesn't reflect reality.
Also, I'm the guy who called John McCain the worst US politician back when you'd have fought me to defend his honor.

They've bought into this "Us vs the world" mentality, it will not end well for them.
Politics is nothing but a popularity contest.

muh impeachment
What did the impeachments do other than give the Left a symbolic victory?
Why are you melting down over something that doesn't matter?

Ryan was part of a different generation and is more conservative than Romney. Believe it or not, they aren't the same people. Pence does not equal Trump, for example.

You already had your mind made up to vote for the less conservative, more dysfunctional, and less effective option, I get it. Not to mention the one who is radioactive among independents.
But you're a complete moron if you think DeSantis, a former backbencher who advocated for Trump, is a part of the establishment. And are willing to give up the Court and thus the Republic forever as a result.

What specific histrionics and NPC talking points are you referring to in the OP.
The ones that said is this true? Or the one that said how does this guy know?
If you’re fine with a Jeb Bush running the country, it’s ok to have that view. I just think that wordlview has wrecked us as bad as democrats and both far worse than mean tweets.

100%.
I don't care if the GOP can win Wyoming, Alabama, and Mississippi by 40 points.
I care if the GOP candidate can win Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
Politics is about winning and power. That's it. And if you can't win then nothing else matters.

I like how this has become a rallying cry. Trump's childish social media behavior is not a positive. It's way down on the list for those of us who want the more conservative and effective option. But it's not some positive for Trump. I'd rather the leader of the movement not waste time and look like a retard.
