my original post said who would have though on 1/19/06 that Bo would have been POTUS. Of course everybody knew that Odummy would beat McCain

I'm saying from the moment I saw him, it was pretty obvious he would be president. The press would love him, he's charming and charismatic, pretty good looking, and has the black shield to avoid criticism. It was the perfect storm. I thought it would be the next election that he would get elected, but knew for sure that in 2012 or 2016 that he would get elected.

Mitt Romney seems like an incredibly decent, honorable man.

i still don't know why DEMs feel he's such a shitty candidate. he's about as middle of the aisle as you're going to get without going full blown retard like john mccain

I voted for McCain only because I didn't think Obama was ready so I wasn't really saddened when McCain lost. I didn't think McCain was anything special.

I actually voted for Mitt because I thought he could help us out and I was a little saddened when he lost.

I wonder if Jon Hunstman will come back around. I feel like he got run off before I could really hear him speak his mind.

They were scarred of him and still are. If it hadn't been for the 47% comment, Sandy, and that fat CNN woman who I can't remember her name lying for Obama, mitt probably would have won

Romney really was my guy. I don't think he actually cared about the social issues. He just said what he had to say in the primaries.

But the guy had decades of experience in the highest levels of finance. If anyone knew how to get the global economy going again, it was him.

Right now I'd bet Jeb Bush. He's a hell of a lot more likable than his brother, seems more intelligent and his brother and father did a damn good job of destroying their enemies

Regardless of how many positive attributes Jeb has compared to his father and brother, he isn't going to win with the last name Bush. With all the jokes that are still made today about George W, it will be too easy for the democrats to identify Jeb with his brother's failures and blunders.

I don't have a dog in that fight. I'm saying as it stands now, Jeb has the best chance to defeat Hillary.

Perhaps another candidate will emerge. Perhaps Rand finds a personality. Perhaps he hires an intelligent team.

He looks like a cartoon character and has the views and argumentative style of you. That's what's wrong.

Scalia is 77. I wonder if he has 8 more years on the bench.

Clarence Thomas is only 65. He'll be around awhile

Roberts and Alito are too young.

Anthony Kennedy is also 77.

If Kennedy and Scalia are the next two to go (assuming RBG also leaves and effectively offsets the loss of one of the conservatives), the entire ideology could change.

SFP is one of the most rational and intellectually consistent posters on this site. Rand's hair does need work though.

If this country really wants to see what it is like for Republicans and Democrats work together, watch them both do everything in their power to privet Rand from becoming President.

He is the wort nightmare for the political establishment of BOTH parties.

Out of the candidates that realistically have a chance, I hope he returns. He was the guy I was rooting for last election:
