Nope. I refuse to believe that if aliens were showing up that they could be shot down with our primitive projectiles.

The belief is... if those are spaceships, then they are used to whipping around the universe, dealing with the threat of lil space rocks hitting them whenever they go to and from a destination. Motherfrickers dealing with space rocks hitting them at super high speeds.. but somehow they are defeated by a missile?

Or, if they can dodge space rocks... then they should definitely be able to dodge our missiles.

I don't believe it's aliens. I don't even think aliens have ever been to earth before.

Certainly this makes sense, from a visceral standpoint. However, I can think of the German battleship Bismarck. It was taken down by obsolete Swordfish biplanes because it had sophisticated mechanical computers built in to the anti-aircraft guns and did not account for attacking aircraft moving that slowly. The Swordfish turned out to be a "A-10" type plane of its era - obsolete, but very effective.

So, there's that.

Yes it’s a recurring theme in many sci-fi flicks that alien tech can repel energy weapons but not projectile based.

What is more likely?

Aliens, or a stunt to get people to have confidence in our boys with guns again? Because we all know what happened with the chinese spy balloons. Everyone knows we looked stupid and weak.

It's amazing that we watch the Macy's Parade every year with Sponge Bob flying down the street followed by Snoopy on a dog house and Winnie the Pooh, but everyone jumps immediately to 'aliens' when something weird shape is floating in the sky and is easily shot down.

There's probably some shut-in in Fairbanks that bought a roll of mylar and a vacuum sealer for bonding it together and a bottle of helium from Hobby Lobby who has been building UFO balloons for the lulz.

Balloon boy, it's like we never met ya.

The only compelling case is Fraber and the tictak

So why would they use a balloon? That makes about as much sense as us throwing our lighters and matches away so we could start a fire by rubbing two sticks together.

I believe something is up, but always has been. I've seen some bizarre things in the sky in Alaska.

Could be our stuff, could be chinese stuff, could be anything but I know for damn sure shite has been eliminated over Alaska, I've seen it.

Saw something intercepted in 2002, called 911, never heard what happened. I was one of hundreds who saw it.

UFO’s do exist.

I wouldn’t be surprised if aliens exist.

I think the overwhelming majority of UFO’s are either misidentified aircraft or are clandestine aircraft controlled by military or intelligence agencies of various nation states. Some may be human-piloted, but many are likely just drones.

Assuming these UFO’s aren’t misidentified conventional craft, the question would become which state actor is sending them and for what purpose.

No, don’t believe it at all. This is China crap and they are play sleight of hand.

Wish it was aliens. They would either bring wisdom beyond our understanding and make it a better place. Or destroy us. Either way we’d be better off.

This. If they are advanced to the point they can reach us then we are like ants to them. They just wouldn't care. Certainly not enough to hide in the new Mexico desert. Its laughable to even contemplate

False premise

They are likely native /local to Earth. We may be them / their surface experiment (in their image).

We are not the first intelligence to live on our planet. Cyclical destruction /cataclysm is the norm, for most (not some…)

Humanity may be a surface reboot…

The things that should not be…
