Not saying you as a whole or even as a poster, but your post in this thread highlight a lot of what is wrong with modern political discussion. Instead of discussing the why of a certain fact, people dispute the facts themselves, which hinders real discussion.

No.

When was abortion made legal?
A full generation before 1993. Dumb thread is dumb

Correlation doesn't equal causation. There are many factors that may have contributed to the drop in violent crime, but even if access to abortion had a direct impact to those numbers, it still wouldn't be justified any more than going into to high-crime areas and rounding up all people living there and killing them would be justifiable.

what else explains this
Concerted efforts across every big city in the country to curb violent crime. Ex: stop and frisk, etc.

Exactly, one full generation, of course it’s not going to have an immediate impact… there’s not too many toddlers running around killing people.

"Is said forced birth child not significantly more likely to commit a violent crime?"
I really have no way of knowing that. My suspicion is that once you control for variables, there likely is not a significantly greater likelihood. For example, many women who have abortions also have given birth to children either before or after the abortion. Are those children, with the same mom and frequently the same socioeconomic milieu, more likely to commit crimes? What about women who seriously considered abortion but decided in the end not to?
