Does a “real trial” only mean one that results in POTUS removal according to progs?

I wish we can get them on record for what a “real trial” actually means to them since they all keep repeating this bull shite talking point.

Donald Trump could be removed from office, set on fire, decapitated, drawn and quartered, and his parts sent to the four corners of the earth and the democrats still wouldn't be satisfied.

To them a "real" trial is one in which they get to conduct it just as they did in the house.

BTW

This impeachment isn't about Trump

It is about casting the Republican Senators as unfair and partisan.

In hopes that they can take control of the Senate in 2020

They know Trump will win reelection and want to be able to stop any of his Judicial Nominees

They want this to be more like an episode of Law and Order where the judge nullifies the jury verdict.

No, it means witnesses providing testimony.

“What was good enough for President Clinton in an impeachment trial should have been good enough for President Trump,”
- McConnell, 2019

"I would have been prepared to vote for whatever the House managers wanted in terms of putting on their trial"
- McConnell, 1999

“I'm not an impartial juror”
- McConnell, 2020

"Do you solemnly swear that in all things appertaining to the trial of the impeachment of Donald John Trump, president of the United States, now pending, you will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws, so help you god?"
- Roberts, 2020

"I so swear."
- McConnell, 2020

A "fair trial" to them is one that favors the prosecution. That ain't the way it works.

Oh, sorry.

"McConnell" refers to current Senate Majority Leader, The Honorable[sic] Senator Addison Mitchell McConnell Jr. (R) KY

"Roberts" refers to US Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Glover Roberts Jr.

A real trial includes witnesses. There won't be any.
Democrats can claim this was rigged from the start and shed a bad light on the Republicans.

Down vote away but this is what is happening.

Personally, I would've found a way to reject that impeachment article as soon as it reached the Senate.

After trump is found not guilty, the Democrats in Congress are just going to vote to impeach him again. Then this entire thing will be on repeat.

And they’d be correct. The impeachment inquiry and proceedings were rigged by the dems from the very start.

McConnell has done this... in the Clinton impeachment trial, the House Managers gave opening statements, and AFTER that was done, the full Senate voted on admitting specific witnesses/evidence/etc.

EXACTLY like what the rules for the current trial are.

You think that's hard or something?

The reason McConnell looks like he does is because he's practiced talking out of both sides of his mouth in front of a mirror for 60 years. The guy is an unapologetic, self-admitted partisan hack.

I mean, how can you say you won't be impartial just days before taking an oath to be impartial? Who does that? It just doesn't get much more cynical than that.
