What you do is you make that gesture with your hand and nonchalantly try to get your buddy to look at it. You're not allowed to put it at eye level or in their face. If they look down at it, you get to punch them in the shoulder. They can counter it by putting a finger through it.
It is indeed stupid, but it was a kid thing.
