I'm not aware of any great revolutionaries in history who did nothing but speak in vague cryptic generalities for 10+ years. Why not spell all this shite out now and get moving in it already?

That's what I love about this board. I asked a simple question that none of you have bothered to answer
you act like this is the first time you've ever posted on this board and that we don't know your imbecilic approach

because he has no actual ideas of his own

He's the ultimate reverse soothsayer. He doesn't have any fricking idea what will happen until after it happens and then he knew it would happen

What does that make us independent of?

An oppressive government for one. We have the freedom of speech, religion, the right to bear arms, freedom of the press, etc. that is what we're independent of.
Thank you for being the first person to answer the question.

Just curious, at what point would you consider government oppressive?

it's oppressive now

But it's far less oppressive than most other governments in history of the world

But more oppressive than should be acceptable

So are we independent or not? And if we are, what are we independent of exactly?

Name me a country that has more freedom than we do.

we have the most laws in the world and more laws mean more restrictions and control.

we have the highest prison population in the world, with the highest recidivism rate in the world.

we have one of the highest costs of living.

we work more night and weekend hours than any other country in the world.

our social mobility rate sucks, you cant survive off one income anymore if you want a family,

but hey maybe you can retire when you are 70 and enjoy your life a month before you die.

just lol at america delusionists

What are you doing that you don't want to do? What's keeping you from doing what you want instead?

Nailed it.

That's why I asked the question. Five pages later, nobody (not one) has an honest answer.

This board fascinates me. Collectively, it is PETRIFIED of the truth, and I'm not sure why considering that human beings are naturally curious creatures and seeking truth would seem to be the most natural of acts.

Not here. The desperate attempt at clinging to their myths is the most entertaining part of all.

be more specific?

this is a thread about being independent. which is patently false; we live comfortably in the states but we are not necessarily free.

What are you doing that you don't want to do? What's keeping you from doing what you want instead? Alternatively, why do you assume others are doing what they don't want and would prefer to be doing something else, and if so what is it they really want?
