How are you coming up with that?

He has to make that your view. If it isn't, his idiotic narrative falls apart.

Interesting I didn't know that.....I know McConnell who was initially opposed to the ACA became a supporter after he actually saw what it did for people in the poorer Appalachian eastern part of Kentucky....the type of people it was designed for.

Interesting that you peel back a layer of yourself. Obamacare supporter... Interesting

It would be interesting for someone to keep a tally of the number of times that JJDoc draws unwarranted conclusions about a poster's views from neutral observations.

you may want to look into NAFTA being replaced
NAFTA was not replaced. It was amended in a few minor ways, given a new name, and rebranded as some shining Trumpian accomplishment.

Trump’s dishonesty is that he lies about little things all the time
IMO, I don't think Trump even realizes how much he lies. The salesmanship and hucksterism is so-much a part of his personality that much of it is entirely subconscious.

Again, just my opinion.

Because that's not factual. John McCain ran on repealing it in 2016 and he lied to the people that elected him.

And this is him in 2016 at an election stop saying it had to be repealed.

He had a chance to honor a campaign promise and did not. That led to this:

quote:

Barack Obama On John McCain: 'We Never Doubted We Were On The Same Team'

On the 6%

quote:

new statewide poll shows that half of Arizona voters would prefer to keep Obamacare but make revisions to the law

Another 36 percent want to repeal and replace it.

That includes Democrats in that state.

Within the GOP:

quote:

59 percent want the Affordable Care Act repealed and replaced.

That's from the same poll you are pushing.

She's a Representative not a Senator. She was Speaker of the House.

No, JJD, he (like most Republicans) ran on "repeal AND REPLACE." The bill in question did noting about the "replace" element of that platform plank. Repealing without having something in place to substitute for it would have produced utter chaos in the health care industry.

You replied to a comment about a SENATE vote with a comment about Pelosi, Lowell.

I know I didn't. I replied to a comment about a House and Senate vote. But since you were a smartass I figured I'd be one as well. Maybe read more carefully next time.

Without Trump, who would you vote for? If he decided to bow out, who would you support?

Mitch didn;t say that... you did. You just said it accomplished it's design and helped poorer people.

Eastern Kentucky has some of the poorest counties in America with some of the worst health, wellness metrics in the country. The ACA in part delivers a form of subsidized, "socialized" medicine to those people. This is a highly flawed piece of legislation that raised the cost of the rest of us and never delivered on its promise to deliver better outcomes but did expand access to that demographic. Mitch McConnell is the Senator from Kentucky and represents those people has in fact acknowledged as much. Displaced Buckeye just got done pointing out to you (and me) that McCain give the thumbs down on the ACA repeal not only because he despised Trump but mainly because the ACA is actually pretty damn popular in Arizona. So that was probably one of the easiest votes McCain ever cast from his point of view.

I find your new found conservative convictions on entitlements hilarious and enjoy watching you getting worked up about the ACA after you have been on here repeatedly parroting Trump's attacks on DeSantis for his votes in Congress regarding entitlement reform. I look forward your response and attempts at trying to square that circle.

This might shock you, but McCain represented Arizona. The fricking state.

Keep trying you little dirtbag.

And I showed the actual data from the polling he used.

Dems didn't vote McCain in. He ran of repealing. I linked the damn video.

I argued and will continue to argue that entitlement reform can take place without stealing from those that paid in.

THAT IS CONSERVATIVE

He can't do it alone! His own party voted against him. You should start looking at the real problem in our government which is Congress, not Trump!!

I'm voting Democrat no matter what.

The only way out of this mess is to give them unlimited control and let them absolutely destroy everything to the point where 90% of Americans on the street will fist fight anyone who merely mentions the word Democrat. Only then will they understand.

Yeah, well, Democrats have had full control over pretty much every major American city for your entire life. How's that working out so far?

He’s a politician who will say whatever it takes to get back into office. Or hell even if it doesn’t get him back into office he just wants to be the center of attention again. So will say whatever he thinks people want to hear, and far too many people worship him and believe anything and everything he says. That absolute blind loyalty to a politician is as swampy as it gets.

It must be reformed! After I get mine!

Social security can easily be saved by simply pushing back the retirement age a few years. Given that people are living longer that’s not a huge ask. Another option although one that will be far less popular is means testing as social security is not a retirement plan but rather a safety net. Third option although probably least popular of them all is to do away with it entirely. Should this happen we’ll need to have something in place to keep large numbers of elderly from dying in the streets. Many can still work doing something but many simply aren’t able to.

But to prevent any reform simply because you want yours exactly as you feel you were "promised " is greedy, selfish, and makes you sound like the libs you pretend to hate.
