Such a HACK job. This is why team Desantis is losing and dropping points and you refuse to hear it.
Trump replaced all of that "Wall" because it was not effective. He found the funding and the courts stated YEP! BUILD IT.
Had the gOPE not blocked him... then it would have been finished.
Now you are going to say.. "well he should have been more willing to work with liberal GOP members" while TOTALLY ignoring the rest of your thought:
quote:
In fact, real "America First" people warned Trump about Pence, McConnell, Ryan etc... You guys all cheered him on hiring swamp people and working with them.
Which is it? We do extend an olive branch (which Trump did) or do we not?

In about 5 years they'll figure out what Ronna's last name was and all claim "how could Trump have known?" "he had to expose her for us all to see".

He worked his arse off to do these things and was sabotaged all along the way. He still gets credit from me because that alone is more than any other politician would do.
You mean the author of "The Art of the Deal" couldn't get a deal done? I thought we elected him because we needed a business man as President who could get things done

Interesting I didn't know that.....I know McConnell who was initially opposed to the ACA became a supporter after he actually saw what it did for people in the poorer Appalachian eastern part of Kentucky....the type of people it was designed for.
Interesting that you peel back a layer of yourself.
Obamacare supporter... Interesting

But but but

None of the wall that was built was paid for by Mexico. It never was going to be either.
Did you believe it would?

This is why you need ALL Republicans to vote. A candidate has to appeal to the broad mass of voters. That might be difficult with the disrupter.
There are limits to compromise. That is what has pushed us to this point in America.
It's why were are where we are. Some things are not up for debate.

The question I have is - Do you believe him? Why or why not?
I believe his policies and goals as President are genuine. If you recall, in his four years he had absolutely no support for any of his policies including from his own party and the Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, were anti anything Trump proposed. Has any president in history ever had this much opposition? And not because his policies were bad, after all it’s what we the people wanted and elected him to do, it was because of their irrational hatred. These are the politicians that must go, not Trump

Sir, you may want to look into NAFTA being replaced.
Sir, you may want to refer to the "Stay in Mexico" deal and how much that cost Mexico.

You don't get it. First he had to expose people who were exposed over a decade ago.
The sequence of events is either hilarious or really sad.
Actual America First people: Don't trust Ryan
Trump: I trust Ryan
Trump supporters: 3d chess baby, this is how you get it done
Trump: Ryan screwed me over
Actual America First people: told you
Trump supporters: No one knew! Now we know! We'll never forget!

I'd just add that some of us now feel a revulsion for the Trump persona. We held our noses own 2016. We understood the stakes in 2020. And now we simply want no part of him. We want to move on to someone who has a shot at two terms. It used to be politicians worked in the background to do what they do. The president was not front and center every day. I'm convinced we have a sickness in this country because we are too invested in the day to day machinations of politics. It leads to unhappiness. I shout at "you" and you at "me" and we are supposed to be on the same side. Once our shite is resolved in late 2024 then we focus on shouting at the real villain which leads to more unhappiness about our lot in life.
You may be fine with all of this turmoil. Some live for it. I'm not okay with it.

How are you coming up with that?
I said McConnell became a supporter...not an enthusiastic supporter but he isn't anxious to roll back that benefit either so to his credit he did back Trump on this effort. Classic example of when these benefit programs get extended its much harder to get them repealed.

That's a great point. The swamp was very much in favor of USMCA.
quote:
The Democrat-controlled House approved the bill on Dec. 19 with a bipartisan vote of 385-41. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said House Democrats had negotiated several changes to the USMCA to make it acceptable.
quote:
The Senate voted 89-10 to clear the bill for Trump’s signature
That must have been quite a bill to get Pelosi's support.

Trump needs to get back to focusing on ending the war in Ukraine. It's one of the few issues I have zero control over as a voter. It's something that only a President can fix.
The other issues DeSantis and the GOPe are trying to push in importance upon me pale in comparison, because they are issues I can address. It sucks, but I can cut back and save. I can be a more proactive parent and neighbor. I can choose which companies to boycott or support. Even when the winds are strongly against me, I don't need a President nor a political party to save me when it comes to this sort of stuff. Ending and preventing war, is a totally different ballgame.

I know you knuckle draggers cheered that one on and thought it was hilarious but that was stupid and when Trump needed McCain's vote on the most crucial piece of legislation during his term, McCain, who never let go of grudge no matter how petty, told him to frick
McCain was a proud man. He was a spiteful man.
Trump poked him in the eye, and McCain got the last laugh as a dying man who had nothing to lose politically for his actions.
Trump, the master negotiator, should have known better

Do you believe Trump?
It isn’t fair to look to Trump’s large policy failures as evidence of his dishonesty. He faced significant policy opposition within the government from Democrats and from members of his own party. Overpromising and being unable to deliver in a divided government isn’t the result of dishonesty as much as it is the result of reality.
Trump’s dishonesty is that he lies about little things all the time. He lies about things that don’t matter. He used lies to deflect from his own unpopularity and his failure to convince enough citizens to vote for him. He continues to lie about these things. Those are the damnable lies, especially the lies about inconsequential things.

If you have a constitution, you dont have a democracy. shite most of us learned in 9th grade, kids today have no fricking clue.
A constitution is simply a set of fundamental rules (usually written) that determine how a country or state is run. A monarchy can have a constitution. Hell, a dictatorship can have a constitution. And a democracy (representative OR direct) can have a constitution (usually does).

That's great and all, but as it stands right now, Trump will be the nominee. So then what?

And that got us to where we are today. Again, A REPUBLIC if YOU can keep it. And that requires the voters to do more than vote blindly for the "R" or "D". We are a republic and have to be involved. In Order to be involved, we needs the transparency that a Republic demands.

Either get in the fight to save the nation from becoming a marxist nation and to restore the republic or be ok with what they are going to inflict on this nation.
Sometimes that means being unhappy, mad, or out raged. You seem to be advocating a neville chamberlain type attitude.

So you want to bury your head in the sand and let the dems slowly walk us to Marxism where our kids will have no shot and no real experience of living free?

Most don't. The propaganda went out that McCain did it solely to spite Trump. There did seem to be some satisfaction in it for him, but he was faithful to his electorate, and they reelected him over and over for it.

Mitch didn;t say that... you did. You just said it accomplished it's design and helped poorer people.
Are you now saying you are against the ACA? Which is it?
