Yeah....no.. that’s not what this passage is talking about. The nation of Israel at times made idols ( golden calf, etc) to false gods. God doesn’t have an issue us having statues such as crosses to guidance in remembrance of Him or His son.

Personally I do not need to see him as a certain type of person other than knowing he was born to be the Savior of all. The imagery is not why I am a believer.
