Disband The FBI ?

This article is old, but the points are valid. I found it interesting :

The FBI has had 110 years to prove its worth. A dispassionate look at its history says that it’s far more often served as a center for blackmail, corruption, and political manipulation than as anything resembling a legitimate law enforcement agency.
In fact, it was a bad idea in the first place.
The FBI — then merely the Bureau of Investigation, or BOI — was created during a congressional recess and without congressional approval by the Attorney General in 1908 for purposes of “investigating” (read: Drumming up a scare over) the role of prostitution in “white slavery,” a forerunner of today’s “human trafficking” panic. It’s pretty much gone downhill from there.
The US Constitution defines only three federal crimes: Treason, piracy and counterfeiting. The first two are military matters and the third is handled by the Secret Service. There’s no room for an FBI in a constitutional law enforcement scheme.

Also, what is the one law enforcement entity that can go in and investigate the law enforcement functions of other entities, whether they are local, state, or federal - the FBI. So then if the FBI decides to let lawlessness go within another law enforcement agency, then the people subject to that jurisdiction are just fricked. And if the FBI decides it has an axe to grind it can thrash another agency.
And which branch is tasked with oversight of all this: Legislative, which is filled with cowards and corrupted individuals.
That leaves only one person in America right now that can fix this.

The FBI is a hammer for the Govt, I imagine despicable things were done by the FBI under Hoover, but in today's Information Age, it cant be swept away or strong armed away.
The DOJ/FBI is too big, unwieldy, lacks oversight, and has to be reformed.

J. Edgar Hoover was the first director of the BOI/FBI and remained the director for 48 years. That he was a corrupt individual has few dissenters. Is the FBI corrupt because he founded it?
Probably, but is there a single federal agency that isn't corrupt? Or State agency? Or even Local agencies?

You got that right. As an added bonus, abolishing these corrupt entities very likely would go a long way in dismantling AntiFa.

He was the sixth (but the first under the name "FBI"), serving from May 1924 to May 1972.
