Make it hot.

quote:

The triumph of the World Cup’s first two weeks — boosting the U.S.’s global reputation with sold-out stadiums and few logistical complications — has forced Democrats who had criticized President Donald Trump’s role in preparations to grudgingly reconsider.

“I think that there was a little bit of like liberal wishcasting that this would maybe be a disaster to sort of stick it to Trump,” said Rob Flaherty, the digital Democratic strategist and soccer fan who attended the U.S. group-stage match with Australia. “It hasn’t yet been.”

I suppose you could just listen to Democrat leaders talking about how much they hate the 250th events if you want. Do you think the reflecting pool damaged itself?

I'm surprised they didn't praise the liberal mayors of the cities and say Trump had nothing to do with it.

Same people that are razor-blading the reflecting pool and begging algae to plague it.

Such a miserable bunch.

They're the same people on Reddit bitching about FOX showing RFK Jr and Usha Vance on the screen during the game.

I really hope they have have great security at and around these events and are proactively watching for threats. I could see some loon leftists planning some terrorist act just to put a damper on the overall vibe of the Cup and, in their warped minds, Trump by proxy.

I don’t care about soccer and won’t watch any of it but I still get a sense of pride that the US hosted it and it has gone smoothly, there’s been no terrorist attacks or anything, and the foreign visitors have seemingly enjoyed themselves and have loved what the U.S. has to offer. That’s what this country should be. We are supposed to be a shining example to the world of what a country should be

As a baseball only fan for many years, I would rather watch the finals of Octogenarian Hot Dog Eating Contest than watch a moment of soccer. But this WC, at this time is good for America's reputation, worldwide.

And this on the heels of being super salty about the UFC's Freedom 250 being a global success.

For that one, I suspect millions of leftists prayed for the first time in their lives....
