The pendulum swings too far in the other direction after years of it being too far in the other direction. Not that uncommon if you guys would just shut up and let it settle in it would happen faster. It's not going to reach equilibrium as fast if you embolden someone to feel like their mission still needs doing. It's why I don't show up to churches and tell them that none of their beliefs have any basis in reality. Such a suggestion would just embolden them to feel ostracized and persecuted.
