#EXCLUSIVE What started as a what Border Patrol says was a “consensual encounter” turned unstable very quickly in the New Orleans area.
Border Patrol approached several men working on a roof—Some of them ran, others pulled up ladders to prevent agents from apprehending them. At one point one of the confirmed illegal immigrants dumped a bucket of nails towards agents and wielded scrap metal displaying what the agency calls pre-assaultive indicators.
One illegal immigrant was taken into custody. The two on the roof who refused to come down are now considered targets.
This as @DHSgov says assaults and attacks on federal law enforcement are up more than 1,150% when compared to last year.
This all comes as the governor says he welcomes the federal presence.
It’s important to note that BP and ICE have been operating here for decades—It is a coastal border after all.

There are 3 major renovation projects going on next to my house and directly across the street. Next door they were tearing out walls and tossing crap in a dumpster all Thanksgiving day. All three sites have been empty since Saturday. Not a person in site. Possible ICE snatched them up.
Music, trash, taking siestas on my lawn, blocking driveway, etc. has been going on non stop for 5 years. Two houses torn down and two new houses built, and other side neighbors renovated as well. 6 houses all within 150 ft.
I’m done. I hope they all get deported.

BTW, I was in the FQ last weekend and military personnel were checking bags on side streets inside the FQ. Mainly choke points for entry onto Bourbon. I wasn’t doing Bourbon, but was giving a tour to a younger couple visiting us from Atlanta.
The FQ was super safe & refreshing, can’t say that often.
