We were the Paulites on this board back in the day (I might be missing a few). They called us crazy. They said we were nuts. The Ronbots calling Trump folks phony conservatives need to look in the damn mirror.

You are too smart to latch on to trump.

The people who hate Trump are the people whom I've hated for decades. Trump is a figurehead for many disaffected voters of all political stripes who are completely disillusioned with the Uniparty.

Trump is a not a conservative. That is apparent. If you are having problems realizing that, that is on you.
I don't care how far you go back with your Ron Paul crew. It is irrelevant.

Conservative vs. Liberal doesn't exist anymore. The Republican Party is controlled opposition. Establishment vs. Populism is the new paradigm. I'm not a populist, but it's a better chance of flushing the rot out of this country than voting for an establishment candidate.

Trump's a card carrying member of this "Uniparty". I don't need to look in the mirror. I'm actually opposed to people like Nikki Haley. The Trump "folks" need to be reminded that they're supporting the guy who hired Haley and John Bolton. The guy who added trillions of debt, the guy who deported fewer illegals than Obama and the guy who spent a solid year attacking effective conservative governance by essentially calling Florida a failed state.

I don't give two shits what the people I hate think. They won't influence my opinions one way or the other. Nancy Pelosi can pound sand, she doesn't get to decide who I'll vote for.

It's sad that the Ron Paul crew now thinks the guy who hired a bunch of Goldman Sachs bankers is some sort of champion.

Jay Clayton - Goldman Sachs was one of his clients & his wife worked there

Trump nominated
Jim Donovan - Goldman Sachs Vice Chairman of Global Client Coverage

We talked about the Uniparty in 2012 when Mitt ran against Obama. I'm sure people like you thought we were nuts. Trump brought the concepts of the Uniparty and the Deep State into the mainstream. It's not about Trump's ideology. The man is simply a vehicle to show you that everything you were told by American institutions is a lie.

So before Trump, the widespread/deep-rooted corruption of the monolithic fedgov was only known by a few? I don't think so.

I guess it's the irony of Trump - he is showing things we already know by fueling those things, which we hate.

Oh you're sure huh. Where in my hatred of the actual Uniparty would you come up with that assessment? I can't stand Trump because he's a member of that group. It's funny being lectured about the Uniparty from someone who seems to like the guy leading the right into full Uniparty membership.
You're all backing the 2024 version of Mitt Romney you just don't seem to realize it. And I'm the crazy one for backing the 2024 version of Ron Paul. You're like those 60's hippies that became big government Democrats but still think you're fighting "the man".

I already made this joke a few pages ago. "We're probably better off talking about it and then claiming that "raising awareness" was really the goal all along."

I'd imagine 90% of the posters on this board believed almost everything the 3-letter agencies told them when GWB was President. The War on Terror, the Patriot Act and the Iraq War were Republican inventions. Regardless of Trump's actual policies, he's turned the Republican base into one more distrustful of powerful institutions.

Populism is trading the power of the elites for the power of the mob(majority). If you are conservative you don't want either. You should be fighting both.

Every powerful institution in this country has one singular mission: to keep Trump from becoming President. They are terrified of him, to the extent they're litigating attempts to keep him off the ballot. They'll probably try to kill him if they think he'll win.

Why the frick would the establishment be afraid of Donald Trump as president. They got richer and more powerful (by a shite ton) during his four years in office.

You still honestly think this is about policy? Donald Trump is a walking advertisement that the United States of America being the land of the free and the home of the brave is perhaps the biggest lie ever told. Trump wasn't part of the Beltway club and they hate him for it.

They are. They've become insanely rich opposing Trump. They were practically begging him to run.
They started their grift opposing Obama. Don't make the mistake of thinking they were backing Romney or any Republican because of any political values. They see the money to be made from opposing certain people. Those men have no values.

They've made him stronger within his own party. Are they stupid or do you think that was part of the plan? Everyone pretends they're evil masterminds who can't read a poll showing how much stronger Trump was getting after each indictment.
They want him on the ballot so they can beat his arse. No one is terrified of the guy who wants to loan Ukraine $60 Billion or build the FBI a "spectacular" new building.

You're missing/avoiding my question.
You said they fear Trump. I'm asking why they would?
Hate? Sure - Trump is vile and beneath them, from their perspective. But he's hardly something for them to fear, given they f'n thrived during his four years in office.
