In March 2018 Trump ok'ed the exact same type of loan to Ukraine to buy the same missiles. The only difference, Biden hadn't declared for president.

well the primary issue raised by their first impeachment article was Trump doing something for personal gain
they have never, ever, EVER come close to establishing that nexus/intent. without that, it's completely irrelevant
and their 2nd article of impeachment is premature. they're effectively arguing Trump should be impeached for engaging in proper due process

Well... Not really. At that point in 2018 the Ukrainian president was the same shitbag that humored Joe Biden's requests, not the new President who ran on an anti-corruption platform. Surely you don't discount the fact that that is an enormous difference. There is no way Trump would have made headway rooting out corruption with Poroshenko.
