But the nationwide generic ballot does not predict the actual results in critical districts. This doesn't actually mean anything, and it certainly doesn't predict the outcome of the midterms later this year.

That’s the ballgame. GOP is getting what it wants, permanent minority status and Biden re-elected. They can bitch and moan and talk about all the stuff they could do if they only get voted in. Sad watching this country implode and fall with a whimper.

I expect the GOP to get more House votes in 2022 but as long as they're within 2 or 3 points they'll take back the House close.
Dems beat the GOP by 3.1% in the House in 2020 and the GOP gained 14 seats.
If the GOP gets more votes it will be a bloodbath.

Actually generic ballots always favor democrats in the summer months because conservatives have families, jobs, vacations (too busy) and do not respond to polls as actively as they do in other months of the year. The thing that has the Dems spooked is that the generic ballot in July/August is very tight. The Dems typically have a wide gap in the summer months but the gap has vanished

This FBI raid, and the economy are going to drive normies to the polls for GOP more than ever.
The MSM can do their old tricks, but no one believes them or the establishment any more.
