J.D. Vance would obliterate the likes of Kamala Harrus, Tampon Timmy, AOC, Stephen A. (lol), etc.
While I agree, the Dem left will coalesce around AOC as the "new" Bernie and the "moderate" wing (what's left of them) want Shapiro, but will probably have to settle for Beshear.
The only candidate they could put up that would be highly competitive, IMHO, is still Michelle O.

Thank God she apparently hates Washington and the political limelight. Not that I think she's anything special, but the name alone, although not nearly as "magical" as it once was, could make her a real threat. Hell, the human cartoon character named Kamala Harris received 48% of the vote. I would think Michelle could make up the difference.
Add in the other superficial factor of Michelle being blacker than Barack and Kamala combined, and let's just say I hope she remains on the political sideline forever. Her race-baiting alone is so intense that it makes Barack look like a peacemaker by comparison.

Ticket with NC Governor Josh Stein and Penn Governor Josh Shapiro.
With North Carolina’s 16 electoral votes and Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral votes they would need 1 other state to flip Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan, or Arizona to reach 270.
Stein on any ticket is the best thing for the Dems.
Central NC resident here. Stein isn't particularly memorable or likeable. It will be tough for him to get enough national exposure or enough of a national profile in time for 2028.
On the other hand, Shapiro has that Obama-style down. How much that will resonate now is debatable, but he has some exposure, recognition, and likeability among liberals.

The only reason Stein won was that he was running against a lunatic. Had the Republican candidate been sane, it would have been much closer. I am a lifelong Republican, but voted for the Libertarian candidate, because Robinson was too crazy.
