Democrats are going to stick it to stupid Republicans again.

GOPe working with Dems to knife Trump and get him off the stage.
GOPe thinks they can clear the stage for Desantis and avoid the Desantis/Trump war that would hurt the whole party.
At the last second, Democrats will betray the GOPe, let Trump slip through their fingers and sit back and watch Republicans rip themselves to shreds in a brutal primary fight.
Democrats are not going to solve any problems for Republicans.
GOPe thinks they can clear the stage for Desantis and avoid the Desantis/Trump war that would hurt the whole party.

Not likely. Dems best hope is let Trump run while under investigation. Bloody him up.
It would be a poor strategy of the Dems to clear a path for Desantis. Desantis will clobber Dems.

This special counsel appointment is a great opportunity for Republicans to stand together and slam Democrats.

Trump is not going anywhere. Best grift he has worked with large sums of untraceable money in donations. No way he stands down. He will milk it till the last dollar comes in.
