The teacher hate on here is pathetic and embarrassing. Teaching and education are incredible blessings and gifts. It’s a shame neither seem to be respected or appreciated these days. Too many people obsessed with the almighty dollar, judging what they don’t know or understand, and just being rude.

I don’t know which group are bigger drama queens? Women nurses or women teachers?

You know, I’m just going to speak candidly, if we don’t have teachers who want to come in person, we would have to find another set of adults who want to come in person,” Bowser said, according to WTOP.

This may sound great, but she is basically proposing the same thing NYC is saying with government daycare instead.

Nothing to see here. Just your friendly government trying to take over more industry. It’s all part of the socialist plan.

I don't think most on here hate teachers. I believe most hate the teacher unions as I do.

The Biden backing unions opened them self up with some making political demands about immigration and health care unrelated to steps needed to do their jobs safely. They want to hide behind the respect most have for the profession to espouse political BS.

How hard should it be to replace Baltimore math teachers when zero high schools are performing at near level. ZERO.

If they are scared, let them teach in PPE gear all day like workers in hospitals have to wear.

I can think of 1-3 teachers throughout my years of formal schooling that were “great teachers”.

While I liked most of my teachers along the way, my successful education was more dependent upon my curriculum, resources, self, and to some degree my upbringing. You could substitute most of my teachers with another positive, disciplined guide and the outcome would have been the same.

I also think if you substituted many of them with more “great teachers” the outcome could certainly be improved, but part of the point is that there aren’t enough of them in the profession at this time for every student to encounter them consistently.
