If they assumed the tax cuts would expire wouldn’t that result in higher revenue and lower deficits?

No. The tax cuts resulted in higher revenues for the feds.

Wait. I’m not buying that. Are you saying that the CBO is assuming that if the tax cuts are not extended, and taxes go up, it will cause the economy to slow?

Only RINOs oppose this bill.
Now Rand Paul and Thomas Massie are RINOs. And Mike Johnson is an awesome conservative.

That’s how upside down MAGA folks have become. It’s fascinating. Wonder how long until they start clamoring for Paul Ryan to run again?

I mean whos right? The CBO or the OMB?

CBO says its adds $2.6 trillion to the deficit and the OMB says that the CBO is miscalculating big time. The difference between the 2 forecast is almost $9 trillion

I believe you have stumbled upon a major part of the problem.

I don't know what the assumptions of the CBO were. I was just answering the question.

I appreciate it, but does the answer make sense? What if I wrote that Trump was going to balance the budget by spending more on subsidizing avocado farming?
