And almost every expert on microeducational systems holds the belief that the Prussian model is an ineffective means of education.
Just because we use it doesn't mean its effective.
Dude I never said that using the Prussian model was the best. It is a fact that students are in smaller groups they learn better but here is the problem. At my school we have 30 teachers and 417 student. Please tell me how we can make smaller classrooms with that ratio without hiring more teachers??? In addition, I was making the point that in college they sit in desk, in rows for multiple classes a day.

You think the test results hold anyone accountable?
Yep. Student performance on standardized assessments is 35% of a teacher's evaluation.

Everyone seems uninterested in my posts but I'll tell you how.
Your schools are going to die. They are going to become a place that only the least among us use.
The internet is going to kill your schools just like it killed K-Mart and for the same reasons.
And, kids are going to VASTLY outperform your schools in the process.

They are too busy learning calculus as a freshman to bother with the mental math you place a lot of value in

We spend far too much money supporting a system that is dedicated to political indoctrination and the memorization of facts instead of teaching people to think using reason, logic, and the Socratic method
True. One party demonizes science and the other attacks people for holding beliefs contrary to their own.......

We are currently trying the internet thing and guess what? it dosnt work! we send students home to work on online classes on laptops and they are not doing the classes because there is no one to tell them to do it. Most of the laptops come back broken or destroyed and not one student in our school has completed one class online at home.

I didn't say your schools would survive by incorporating the internet. I said it was going to kill your schools.
And it absolutely IS going to kill them.
Sure. You'll still exist. But you'll exist almost entirely for the chaff.

Just can't help it can you? My thread has nothing to do with demonizing science and all that bullshite.
Way to muddy the thread with this bullshite.
This thread is about educational spending and the lack of rewards for it.
Go start you own dumbass thread about the bullshite you're peddling.
You're like a coworker of mine. He gets his political bullshite going no matter the topic. We could be talking about where to eat for lunch and he somehow turns it into some stupid arse Trump jab... It's annoying as frick and show how cultish you all are...

There is a high school graduation here next week for several hundred students, that were students of a totally online education program for which their parents pay tuition, totally different from home schooling. It is my understanding the students do extremely well, and the percentage of students receiving college scholarships is much greater than the public schools.

And it's only going to get better.
And, it will reach a tipping point where the "concern" about socialization will be a total non-starter. There will be so many kids in these programs, they'll end up with a parallel social structure and eventually, THEIRS will be the primary social structure.
The chaff left in public schools will be the weirdos.
