The press corps travels with the president everywhere. Doesn’t mean they have full access to Biden but they are on site everywhere Biden is. They also talk to admin officials and have an understanding of what’s going on.
Everyone knows Biden has been at camp David for a week preparing for this and trying to get in the right mindset. Something could have happened or the team may be freaking out and the press is starting to get word. The admin the way it is already cuts the press corps out of a lot and most of them are fed up because they can’t do their job.

It is very odd but Biden is in bad shape. He can’t even answer questions from the press after speaking. Now put him against the guy he hates one on one. It’s a disaster for Dems
