95% of the people reading your article will be reading it online. The internet provides the ability to imbed hyperlinks into your writing. If you are composing an article about a given law, bill, ordinance, etcetera, please add a hyperlink to the ACTUAL text of that document.

If you are writing about a speech or statement, and there exists a transcript of that speech or statement, provide a link to the transcript.

Many readers would prefer to examine the actual words for themselves, rather than being forced to rely only upon your own summary of them.

That is all.

Seriously, it took me 10 minutes to find the text of the new Alabama abortion law. I did not see a link to that text in even ONE article found in ANY major publication.

Not ONE article in any major publication

You and I both know that is not the case at all. Majority of people in this country are lazy as frick and don’t care to discern for themselves.

This is 21st century reporting now. Fox, cnn, cbs, abc, msnbc, Dailey caller, mother jones every one of these outlets do this shite.

All of the sources you hate (Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, etc) already do this.

Welcome to 2014 Hank.

I was a 30yr subscriber to the Sun Herald. Finally got tired of the 3 local articles and 10 national articles per day. Cancelled after reading way too many Miami Herald articles. Hell, the Sun Herald only has 1 sports writer left on staff. And they continually ask social media for scores and stories. They print Friday night football scores and stories on Sunday. Yet if you go to the Sun Herald website, there is a hashtag that says #readlocal. I shite you not.

Unfortunately I do not think that to be true anymore. Most people just want to know the talki g poi ts from someone on their team.
