Earlier in the evening, a speaker in the newly named “Black Lives Matter Plaza” asserted that “I’m at the point where I’m going to put the police in a f*cking grave. I’m at the point where I want to burn the f*cking White House down!”

As long as they are peaceful about the ay they do it!!!!

I started reading that in the periphery as "fishing while sitting on a 5 gallon bucket" and was like damn, can't wait to see where this is headed!

Pretty sure they could sit on 5 gallon buckets in BLM park and the fish would come to them.

A reasonable response to the laser location.

Personally, I think this would be a more interesting option...

Find these folks and put ‘em away for decades.

I think we passed that point several months ago. I am coming around to the idea of a quiet pick up, a quick review of the evidence with the accused, a judge, and an appointed lawyer, followed by them becoming a more fertile 6' x 3' patch in a random field. This stuff is serious - they are trying to end Western civalization.

This should be like fishing in a 5 gallon bucket for the Feds. Lock these folks up.

LIDAR is the effective sensor of choice right now, and some newer CMOS sensors can see in the dark with enough detail to provide contrast and color for LIDAR to sense obstacles as thin as a strand of barbed wire. Neither are negatively affected+/damaged by a consumer laser shining at it.

I am doing some work at home on a project using LIDAR. It's pretty neat technology. The projects I am designing at work are MIMO RADAR, which is also cool technology and could be used in drone applications.

Nice. All of my work is in national defense, aviation and aerospace, applying the technology to "classified" programs, and I work a lot with research labs at different universities. This is all trickling down to consumer application, or at least, embedded into automotive applications.
