He was not a victim. How many times was he shot?
When I was his age, I was in a drive thru when a guy was shot in the parking lot. I was literally closer to being a victim of gun violence than this kid. Did I hide in a closet? No, I had someone call 911, and I help the guy from bleeding to death. He died later. I spoke to the police but refused to speak to any reporters and asked that my name not be used so that the victim’s name would be the one remembered. I guess that I was just raised differently.
