pcr tests are confirmatory. the rapid tests are the shite ones.
pcr usually takes about 24 to 48 hours maybe longer if backed up for results.
if you test positive on a pcr test, I would say that it is very accurate.

Still sad but I was told at a local place in Mandeville it took 72

This is ridiculous. You can't spread covid on a golf course.
Perhaps you can be prepared to go to several places until you get a negative test result.

FYI.. got the test this am.. we passed 
now... we can go to a COVID rave party... because the rule just said three days prior to travel... LOL>.
