People killed muslims in the name of Jesus before. Were they good people? Or am I worse for simply not caring that they died?

Because if you worshiped them, you would never see fault in their actions and therefore would have no cause for protest.

Oh, THAT one??? Why didn't you post the caption for it? Here:

quote:

Pro-hijab rally in Tehran in 2006: More than 25 years after the revolution, women backing the hardliners in the establishment staged their own rallies to protest against what they saw as the authorities' failure to enforce the compulsory hijab law. Here, the women are all dressed in black chadors with the exception of a little girl.

So modern! That's what you want to fight for.

Yes. It bothers me and I am trying to help you see the error of your ways because I care for you deeply. I want you no longer to spout such hateful rhetoric. I am trying to save your soul. It's what Jesus would do and so must I.

Again...take a trip there. Open the bible and pray in the streets for the welfare of the people...I'll pay for your airfare back.

It will cost me nothing.

The people who fought in the crusades were living under tyrannical rule as well. They were fighting to reclaim their way of life. Do you not know many Christian cities were sacked and were under Muslim oppressive rule? Freedom did not exist for them either. Here's a great youtube channel that talks all about the Crusades. It's a hell of a thing to study and I suggest you do so. Real Crusades History

It's happened other times as well. Not just during the crusades. You think sending hordes of children was the right move?

I will always fight for freedom of hearts and minds. Do you not see what tyrannical rule can do to the mind? That's why I posted that picture.

How are you going to win the hearts and minds of people who WANT to live in the Dark Ages? The women in that picture are protesting because they WANT to be oppressed! Can't you read?

Or do you think if we just bomb the hell out the place and kill a bunch more of them, then they'll love us?

Have you learned nothing from the past 20 years of our Middle Eastern adventures?

Look at what Pompeo is doing for Iran. His message to the people. We all want the same thing. To love and marry. To have kids, live in peace and worship in peace. Death begets death. That is not our message to the Iranian people. This is why they protest. We are showing them the light and giving them an opportunity to change their path. Tyrannical oppression warps the mind and much like Stockholm's syndrome, you begin to love your captors and their way of life. That's why I posted that picture. Open your mind. I have learned a great deal in my years on this planet. As a kid I rejoiced in the Iraq War, I was young and foolish. Love conquers all and Death begets Death. Some are damned, most are not. When good people are given good alternatives and opportunities for themselves and others and are allowed to live in peace, they will choose that path.

It is our duty and honor as those who live in peaceful society to do what we can to bring about that same ability for those living in oppression. That is what Pompeo and your country stands for, respect that decision.

That is feel-good nonsense. We tried that in Iran already once. That's what led to the revolution that put the Shah back in power. Then they killed everyone who was on our side. Anyone since who they even suspected wanted Westernization was executed. There are no good guys left in Iran. None.

They said the same thing about Afghanistan. They said the same thing about Iraq. They said the same thing about Libya. They said the same thing about Syria... and all it did was cause even more death and suffering for them and thousands of dead US soldiers. F the Middle East. We don't need them any more.

I don't see you volunteering to go over there to evangelize.

I could do more, you're right, but I am evangelizing to you. We all must start locally.

Death begets Death. I am not talking about sending troops. I am talking of changing hearts and minds by giving opportunities. Our leaders then are not our leaders now. Their plans were doomed from the start.

I get what you are saying, but God has patience and mercy. With continued pressure, you will see cracks in the dam of oppression. Those cracks erode over time and soon, a flood of freedom. Have patience and do not let lack of immediacy of action harden your heart. Thank you for reading what I have written and hearing me out. The cracks are already starting.

Pray for him as I will continue to do. His heart is not without the ability to change, but it must be taken upon himself to do so. Pray for him not for his heart to change but for God to give him opportunities to choose to change. I believe this conversation tonight is one of those moments.

Dear Lord, let this man see the truth in your Son Jesus' path. Give him continued strength to walk in your footsteps. Let him have many opportunities to seek your wisdom. Wipe his heart clean and allow him to start anew. I ask this humbly in your name. Amen.

So not true. Iran has been on the brink of a revolution for years. Obama squashed the last one with an influx of cash. without obama there is a very good chance, very good, that power would have already changed hands.
