Well I’ll leave it at this. If planes start falling out of the sky you’ll see it on the news. If people mis diagnose and mis treat medical conditions the consequences aren’t seen for many years, and they are swept under the rug by the big healthcare corporations so they’re rarely brought to light. But I’m glad the delivery went well, I’ve seen many NPs who are knowledgeable. They tend to be the humble ones not trying to act as independent physicians like in this case.

4 years of med school and 3 years of IM residency is much different than a 2 year online non clinical “doctorate” program

Never said they didn’t. But when a doctor makes a mistake they know how to manage the complications and correct it. When an NP makes a mistake they call the doctor

Yes. You have a much bigger ego and are more jealous of your privilege and more easily manipulated for two years to push a vaccine on people that doesn't work to stop a disease that is about as bad as a severe flu. Where was your med school and residency on that one, bub? The medical field is compromised.

From the OP: quote:The rights of the public to obtain healthcare and legal drugs from a clinic

That’s the OP editorializing their own view. The article never mentions it. It’s irrelevant to the cvs matter.

Didn't pharmacist refuse to fill ivermectin because it was against their, "trust the science" belief? How many were fired?

So, people should be prohibited from a career because they don’t want to perform .1% of the full scope of it based on a legitimate religious belief?

No, but birth control is an extremely common prescription and is often prescribed for reasons other than preventing pregnancy.

quote:

Should a Hindu lawyer have to defend a beef processing company in a criminal action regardless of the fact that killing cows violates his faith? Should a catholic OBGYN be required to perform an abortion if he lives in a pro-choice state?

If its his/her private practice I think they should be allowed to make that decision. This is a major corporation and what she is doing "When customers needed the prescriptions, she would refer them to a colleague or another CVS MinuteClinic" inconveniences the customer. Thats the bottom line.

I don’t understand why birth control is a controlled drug. They should hand it out to anyone walking into cvs.

“More jealous of your privilege” means that I am jealous of my privilege

If prescribing birth control goes against your faith, don't work in a job that expects you to prescribe birth control. It's really that simple.

Exactly the same.

Except the clerk was an agent of the government. And the fact that same sex couples had nowhere else to go. And the fact that she was issuing licenses to some people and not others whereas the NP wasn't providing an objectionable service for anybody. And the fact that employers are barred under the Civil Rights Act from discriminating against employees.

I never said they were exactly the same. I said it reminded me of that. Two people ignoring what they are supposed to be doing either by law or by their employer's policy based on their personal beliefs.

Where is this right in the Constitution/Bill of Rights?
Not every "right" is found in the Constitution.

And why would this imaginary right be greater than the actual religious rights of the nurse practitioner?
The First Amendment limits the actions of governmental entities, not private employers.

1. The clinic didn't have to hire her in the 1st place. They made a combinations for her
2. Religious exemptions are in place across the spectrum. Try making a Muslim work on Ramadan
3. There is no "right of the public to obtain healthcare and legal drugs from a clinic

In no way is it discrimination. You got hired to do a job. The company policy states how it needs to be done. You have an objection to it. So you don't do that job.

This is nowhere near the standard.
