(LONG)TL;Dr(LONG)

I've noticed lately, in social settings sometimes I have unintentionally started to explain to people I'm around,
how I have no enimes and love everyone as a human being and can find the best in the worst of people. I shouldn't feel like I have to prove to people that I'm not a racist or bigot just cause the tv tells them people that look like I look are all guilty. I subconsciously put it into action. It won't even be on my mind then all of a sudden I'm in some kind of "can't we all just be friends" conversation when that should just be a giving and not consume time out of our life. Now these idiots have found ways into every one of our lives and personally affect is by social division.

It sucks that we all hate each other depending on what you believe. Your either side A or side B and if your not on my side frick YOU...and that's total bullshite! .

We can't survive as a species if we destroy everything and everyone we disagree with. That's ridiculous and is a very poorly chosen and ignorant way of thinking/believing that's how one should rule/survive.

We really need to get a grip on this as a society and truly come together as one nation no matter our differences or beliefs.
Of we don't get a grip on this pretty quick... The GovernMental Patients who represent us have proven through the years that they are not of sound mind. Proven time after time every time they cast their votes, they assure us they are voting with our best interest in mind..have never take mine, yours, or anyone's best interest Into consideration, except their own. They vote to secure personal wealths and freedoms while they strip ours away day by day while apologizing to us while blaming others and time after time refusing to make any changes to benefit anyone but themselves.

Yesterday in a gas station in Baker there were about 10 people inside when I arrived. There were approximately 7 black people and 3 white people. Everyone was like a robot they moved when they had to move and we're silent and stared at the floor or stared at something that couldn't stare back.

I wanted a fountain drink and was trying to decide until I seem Arizona Watermelon was an option. The Watermelon Can drink that Arizona makes it my 2nd favorite behind the Arnie Half & Half. (wow... Didn't even realize a racism connection about this situation until I just stared to type it, Frick Me for making it now.) I decided to go with a Arizona Watermelon fountain drink because I love the ones in the can and had never seen it in a fountain. When I was trying to decide on my ice type for my drink up walked a young black female in her early 20's. She just stood back like she was unsure if her safety was in jeapordy, I look like a redneck white supremacists the tv warns her about and could possibly harm her at any moment.

I decided to make small talk and told her to jump on up here, that you not gonna be in my way. She first just stood there trying to decipher what I said as me being friendly or a smart arse. Immediately she smiled and relaxed and stared fixing her ice. I made small talk about how I used to love the damn cherry Limeade Fanta and how it got replaced by this damn Orange Vanilla Coke that NOBODY has ever drank much less craved.

I realized Arizona Watermelon was a choice and I mentioned that it's pretty good and how I love the can drink. She said she always wondered what it tasted like but never wanted to get it in case it was nasty. I had just finished filling my cup up and I said... "Well hey, shite like this don't bother me one bit drinking behind someone (this is a circumstantial decision however), I haven't drank out of the cup yet (lid/straw not in place), why don't you taste some of mine so you will know how it tastes. She kinda was taken off guard by my suggestion and was like "awe naw, I don't know you like that" understandably... I said "I just fixed it right in front of you and I have not put my mouth on it yet. Why don't you tasted it" realizing the situation and maybe not wanting to seem rude

.. She went for it to my surprise... She grabbed it as I handed it out towards her and she took a tiny little sip. She was surprised at how it tastes and thanked me as she fix one for herself. She stared joking around and laughing and making small talk.

While this was taking place, due to the fountains location to the register and how everyone was all lined up to check out having only one employee working the register while 2 others did inventory or something of the such...everyone was apparently watching the situation and how it was gonna play out since the store was quiet due to no one wanting to be friendly in case someone is a possible undercover racist me possibly being one and may have the opportunity to get a video, due to a 40yo hillbilly white male with a long beard and flannel shirt, Wranglers and insulated Crocks on and a 20yo black female with pajama pants and a females fitted baseball jersey type shirt... We were about as "black and white" as it could get.

After they witnessed how our interaction played out, it was like a hypnosis/spell was lifted. They all started talking and laughing and cutting up and socializing with each other seeing I was "different" than what they were programed to be cautious/on guard around.

That one interaction changed the atmosphere of the whole store. On my way out I held the door for 2 of the black females that were standing in line and thanked me and wished me well on their way out. I believe the emotion behind their words would have been different, remove the interaction between me and the young female. When they spoke It felt as if they were old friends as they said there fair wells.

While I interacted with everyone I caught myself feeling like I was the tokin white guy trying to explain that we all the same, Human, and that's how I was raised to interact with people. Not by thier social status or skin color and that most white people are not Grand Wizards with Final Solution for Dummies podcast playing in the pickup truck.

Now The opposite side of the coin so to speak. The story is not quite over just yet.

Upon my arrival I had noticed, parked right up front by the store entrance, a 2021 Dodge Power Wagon that seemed to have checked off ever option box available to check. The truck was super clean and super expensive. Probably North of $75k expensive. Before entering the store I made a complete walk around observing and admiring what I would say is one of those "Bad Mutha fricka" trucks. Unfortunately, I could not observe the interior to see the "good stuff" due 5o tinted windows and I never got closer than 5' to the truck and as far I was imagining it having due to what the outside of the truck looked like as it seemed paramount and would be loaded.

While in the store and after the interaction with the young lady and everyone seeming to be socializing a bit.. I seized the moment to commend whoever was driving the new dodge parked outside. An older white gentleman in his early to mid 60's boasted matter of factly, that he was the owner and was more than happy to put over his new truck. We both exited the store shortly after one another and we carried on our conversation about the truck and how I admired it. He was telling me it's got this and that and the specs and such.

I asked if it was fully loaded and he said yea it's got all the bells and whistles and I asked how big the navigation screen was and as the words no longer had left my lips, in an instant his whole demeanor kinda changed while saying it didn't have that. I thought that was kinda strange, Fancy truck like that obviously has back up camera and touch screen in dash components so kinda confused at his changing demeanor but thinking I'm just misreading him, I asked If the display screen was big and not trying to be weird (weird enters stage left) I asked do you mind if I kinda glance inside as you open the door. I'm probably 20 feet from him at least and there are people pumping gas all around, as well as walking to and from the store and im not doing anything to raise concern or making any shady threatening manuvers.

Just crossing a boundary that I did not realize was even there to cross, soon as I said that from a distance of course. I'm not trying to seem like I want to be threatening or to get in the damn thing or even remotely close". I figured there would be no harm in glancing from a safe distance.maybe 8'-10' as I wouldn't give a shite, all while he would continue to tell about the truck. Us being old friends from inside the store a minute or so ago, reunited at last!

His chipper attitude came to an abrupt stop and he shut that shite down quick fast and in a hurry while giving me a glance like I tried to had just tried touch to dick while he wasn't looking or something. I said "my bad buddy I'm sorry. Not trying to freak you out, it's no worries, I understand. I just appreciate your truck and was just curious if the inside was as fancy and it seems it would be, No problem man. Take it easy" and I walked away as he stood on the running board saying something, (not sure if it was well wishes or how nasty he was telling me where to go and how fast) with the door open still giving me the dick touching look with a crooked smile like he was processing if he needed to pull his boot pistol and proceed forward with a citizens arrest for One count: Felony Attempted Robbery\Grand Theft Auto by way of Vehicle Admiration and One misdemeanor count of: Verbal Complementary Interaction with a stranger by way of Questions pertaining to "None of my Got Damn Business what it looks like on the inside" and One Count of probability of a possibility of a Dick Touching. Felony or Misdemeanor charge Severity undecided due to unfamiliar unsure feelings of if he might of liked it or not.

Arresting Officer:Being an uptight old arse man who thinks everyone is out to get him and his extremely expensive new purchase that he is adamantly proud but not inviting about who also may have or have not almost had his dick touched when he wasn't looking along with new unfamiliar feels which recently arose!

It's not white supremacists or racist...Some people are just grumpy a-hole.

Dude there’s no way I’m reading your Op Ed but I work in mental health and certain progressives, particularly the ones who can’t in any way separate their political goals from bonds or relations with others come off as having Depersonalization-derealization disorder.

Alaska or the Yukon are really the only places vast enough to escape it. I live out in the woods in East Feliciana Parish and even though it is the woods. Baton rouge keeps creeping closer and closer slowly but surely. People are moving out here trying to get away from it but it's following them. Strip mall here gas station there. You have to go somewhere where it would take civilization 100+ years to finally start to intrude on your solitude.

I think it has more to do with the Covid fear mongering than any perceived racism. People have been programmed not to socialize through the masks and social distancing and shutting down bars and public events. It’s a demoralizion tactic

the "cant we all just get along" people are part of the problme... that basically means, "you have to come to my side" no, im not coming to your side... now, im gonna move over there, if you come over there trying to change things, im not moving again... im going to fight you...youre not going to change me, its your fault you moved, not mine.. keep your arse over there and be happy, and ill keep my arse over here and ill be happy... the second you affect my life, we fight...

then, dont bluff... fight... they will go away... problem is they have affected the consequences of fighting.. you fight them, they ruin your life...

nothing is going to happen until people start losing their homes, livelyhoods, etc... weak republicans will not fight, they will continue to back down until its at their door, then, it will be too late... i think when the gun grab does happen, thats when it will start... you can only use the excuse "i lost it in the lake" so many times... things are going to get much worse. literally the only way is to destroy the republican party and start over... its obvious they are in it together.. read a history book, when the peasents start to form and start attacking the monarchs and ruling class thats when change happened... somehow, someway, you have to change leadership in several major industires. Media, social media, education, pharma, insurance, etc... they are all run by liberals...

I don't know man, I've lived in Lacombe for the past 10 years and the fact that what you described even occurs is foreign to me.

It's not a black or white thing. It's really an urban vs rural thing. For the most part, people in the city and suburbs are fricking miserable regardless of race or racial interaction. The race thing is just a scapegoat.

Go to small towns that are mixed like Lacombe and you'll see everybody cutting up and getting along in public spaces.

Race is irrelevant. Culture is all that matters.
