It’s worse in cities because of activist judges and DA’s, but I’m afraid you can find the same behavior in small towns as well. 6% commits 52% of the murders. It’s not pointed out nearly enough, and that’s just homicide.

I raised them in Zachary LA. I don’t have the numbers on hand but I’d bet they went to school at about a 50/50 black white ratio. Maybe more black. Hell, one of my sons even dated a black girl for while when he was in school. She’s was a wonderful young lady and her father was a teacher at the school. He’s currently at LSU in the Tiger band and wants to be a Navy SEAL for a while before he goes on to being a high school band director and teacher. He just ran a half triathlon for fun a couple weeks ago.
My other son also has aspirations of going to a service academy. Although if I’m being honest he’s got a better chance at getting an ROTC scholarship and then joining the service as an officer.

They went, and my younger one still goes, to Zachary High School. I live literally across the street from the school. I grew up in Baton Rouge and went to catholic schools all the way through high school. We chose to raise our children here in Zachary. My entire family has since moved from Baton Rouge to here. Uncles and aunts and grandparents all live within a 5 minute drive. I chose to stay near family because I value that.

Valid question. And of course I’d be happy to. I’ve done so several times on this board and ever earlier to day in fact. But I won’t pretend everyone has the time to read every thread or catch every post.
I lived in Africa for over 5 years. Most of it in west Africa in Niger but also months in each of Kenya and Djibouti and almost a month in Cote D’Ivoire. A few others but not enough time to warrant a real opinion.
West Africans are some of the kindest, generous and calm people I’ve ever met. I would feel completely safe walking around the cities of Niamey or Abidjan at any time of day or night. Their culture demands politeness and welcomness. Though if you venture outside of the city you open yourself up to kidnapping due to religious annd political strife. Odds anre they won’t kill you though because you’re worth more alive than dead. And then the ninjas will come save you, especially if Trump is President. There is precedent for this.
East Africa is a different story. I’m not a huge fan and if you visit I would suggest staying on guard when outside of the hotels. They like drugs and stealing as much as Memphis or Chicago or New Orleans does, though I thing your chance of murder is probably lower.
