Kf the sponsor was responsible for ensuring that his workers never touched a common property, or any sort of taxpayer benefit, I'd have no issue. As it stands, illegals are just corporate welfare and public welfare drains.

Technically, he says, "... valuable contributions immigrants make to our society."
He never really used the word "illegal" immigrants. he's just brainwashed to think we're separating family's all together regardless of where they cross.

TBH, W was probably even worse about illegal immigration than Obama was.
Obama at least made something of an effort to stop people at the border, although he did basically nothing once the people had gotten past the border.
W didn't even try to stop people at the border.
Plus there probably wouldn't have been as many illegal immigrants under Obama if they hadn't already started coming under GWB.

Actually I think illegal entry is a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
The maximum sentence might be even higher for repeat offenders.

I'm certainly no fan of W., in fact I thought he was the worst president ever at the time he served, but seeing Trump in the UK deriding that country about immigration and no longer maintaining English values and culture will make me recalibrate my caustic assessment of W.
