Hey Google, is crime down in Washington DC over last year?

The FBI's reporting of Washington D.C. crime statistics is currently incomplete due to the transition to the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). While the FBI is working towards full NIBRS participation, some agencies, including D.C.'s, have faced challenges in fully transitioning, leading to data gaps

There was a post Covid spike everywhere
Crime had been falling for 25 years with these liberal policies in these cities prior to that, and falling at approx the same rate everywhere else with whatever other policies.
Partisanship has nothing to do with this discussion. It's basically been the same everywhere.
Crime started skyrocketing in the 70s and then cranked higher in the 80s, peaking in the mid 90s. We still don't know why that happened or why it's fallen so much.
Covid was an outlier-aberration with a short term spike but that self corrected
They constantly bitch about the warping effects of the internet and social media...and then have ZERO awareness of them being warped by the internet and social media.
And they pine for times that were obviously A LOT more dangerous.

Yeah, these are stats that never get juked.

Your seemingly intelligent explanation is based on data that has been thoroughly discredited.
No one should rely on the FBI crime data to draw any conclusions.

There are no simple facts here, the data used to make these assertions has been repeatedly cited as false.
It is possible some cities have seen an improvement, but to deny the reality that some people see every day is typical of a Democrat mindset and pushing of a narrative.
It is also interesting that you use the same tactic as Democrats when challenged on their assertions, insulting the people that bring up an opposite view. Keep it up, this says more about you than anyone else.

It's not a cover up. It's an oversight.

It's been a thing on here for me since the mid-00s. It never gets old.

One random allegation without even a scope attached is not disproving anything.
And, as always, that's why murder rate is the leading focus. You can't really hide murders.

the actual Police Chief was suspended for falsifying crime reports just 3 weeks ago. - Fact
And you say there is no evidence of falsifying crime reports?
does not compute.

Are you claiming liberal states/cities have been honest about 100% of crime stats accurately?
Thats quite the leap

Don't debase yourself to strawmen. He said "thoroughly discredited."
I never claimed there was "no evidence" and that's not the standard being discussed.

Do you have another story? Because that's not what your link says.
quote:
Pulliam — the former commander of the 3rd District that patrols Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights
What % of the total crime does his district represent?
What % of that % is claimed to be false? Based on what credible information?
If you can't specifically answer these questions, my point hasn't been discredited, let alone "thoroughly" discredited.

I never said that, either

One never made.
And trust me, you don't want "100% proven" to be the standard for YOUR argument.

a random allegation?
the Chief of Police being suspended for falsifying reports for the FBI is just a random allegation?

talk about a straw man. the investigation is still underway. but the fact he has been suspended since may for falsifying crime statistic reports sure sounds like evidence of falsifying crime statistics.
