Some of you are so naive. It’s a corporation. I’m glad that you think it’s (or was) a true sliver of Americana.

So the board has a fiduciary duty to the shareholders, right?

How is that going? Also hilarious to see leftists defending corporate profits

They have a duty of care and loyalty to the company and its shareholders, yes.

How is it going? Who are the leftists defending corporate profits? I’m on the right, and I’m a corporate attorney, so if you’re referring to me, you’re barking up the wrong tree. I pay the bills by helping people make money.

This has been a big part of the problem, they quit scratch cooking food and went with reheating frozen crap.

When do you think they stopped scratch cooking food? I suspect it was a lot longer than five or ten years ago.

Unfortunately going woke ignores the demographic that enjoyed eating there.

You know what's interesting?

I talked to my daughter today and her friend group is composed almost entirely of LGBTQ people who live in Atlanta. She's 25. I was curious about her age group's dining habits b/c I get the impression that they order in a lot more than they go to sit-down restaurants.

In confirming this, she said to me—with no prompting from me whatsoever, "About the only sit-down chain restaurant that we eat at regularly is Cracker Barrel. The LGBTQ community loves CB! My friends eat there at least once a week."

I did not expect to hear that.

All of this is just noise. The bottom line is Cracker Barrel's food is no longer good. If the food doesn't improve, this chain is doomed.

I would visit from time to time on work trips for breakfast but when I found out their biscuits weren’t fresh anymore I skipped over them.

Frozen biscuits is a no go.

The last couple of times I tried to eat there, the biscuits were disgusting and the gravy was absolutely nauseating. They cannot put good food on a plate anymore. I'm not eating s**t food just to stand up for tradition, truth and the American way. A restaurant exists to put good food on a plate. Period. If it doesn't do that, pretty soon it's not going to exist.

If you’re a corporate attorney then you would be fired. Advising them to take such a loss. Right?
I had no idea that you are an attorney.

I’m just a tax attorney. I don’t deal with shareholders. You think the CEO is making the correct decisions?

You say you’re a corporate attorney. You are aware what a fiduciary duty is, right?
