These 'anecdotes' are getting into the 1,000s.

My daughter, and thirty others, who volunteered to work at a church camp, after assurances were given of social distancing rules in place, all came down with fever, chills, body aches, chest congestion, etc.. within two days of returning. All tested positive. Does this look like social distancing?

She's quarantined upstairs, but my entire family was exposed to her after she returned. We're quarantined ourselves for two weeks. It's been six days, now, since she returned. We don't know yet if she's passed it to us and symptoms haven't manifested, yet. We're taking as many precautions as we can, and hoping for the best.

The church, of course, is not responding to news media and parents that want to ask questions.

Corona Virus has affected my family.

1 Family members' husband tested positive and my daughter and 2 grandchildren were both marked as positive.
Even though my daughter had a test the very next day and was found negative she was still counted as positive, along with her 2 children.
7 days later her husband took another test and was found negative. My daughter also took a test that day and was found still to be negative.
Both of the grandchildren are still considered positive for another week.

That isn't all.

My 3rd daughter spent 30 minutes with someone who ended up having a positive test.
My wife sent her to be tested. She received a positive result.

The other 4 people living in or home were all marked as positive.

We didn't believe the result because my 3rd daughter never had any symptoms. No one else in our house had any symptoms either. We sent her to have another test.

It came back negative, my 4th daughter and oldest son also took the test. all came back negative.
My wife and I who didn't take the test are still considered positive and cant go back to work for 5 more days.

This whole thing is a shite show.

In other words, only 2 people actually tested positive, and that turned into 7 positive cases being officially reported.

If this thing was as contagious and dangerous as they claim, everyone mentioned should have tested positive, at the very least.

The church should tell everyone to pound sand. You risk catching a virus anytime you breath in regardless if you are home or not.

What is the point in being tested? There is nothing to do about it other than tracking people and shutting down businesses. There is no standard treatment

Do not get tested.

Same thing with the “friend of a friend signed up for testing, never got tested but was told they were positive”. It’s social media nonsense.

frick you, my best friend in the entire world told me similar shite. He does not do any social media.

Did any of them require hospitalization? Any deaths? The Church did you a favor whether you realize it or not.

This actually happened to an employee of mine as well as my father in law, so no, it's not all social media nonsense

How so? I'm in my 60's and that age group has the highest incidence of fatality from complications due to Covid-19. How is that a favor? Also, this now requires everyone in my household exposed to her to have to quarantine for a minimum of 14 days. How is that a favor? I can't go check on my 85 year old mom who is suffering from pulmonary fibrosis. How is that a favor? If someone should get ill and have to be hospitalized, I'll have medical bills. How is that a favor?

Only an idiot sees all that as a silver lining.

Watch the name calling...you sent your daughter to a church camp with a lazy river...what kind of social distancing did you expect?

Sorry but I am 100% telling you about my own experience.

What I posted in my OP was exactly what has happened in my life and my family.

I'll even give you something new as of an hour ago.

I have a co-worker who just went and got tested for the Rona.

If his test comes back positive the 9 people working in my lab will all have to go get tested.

If I then come back positive from my test, then the 4 other people in my house will be considered positive.

IOW this is pretty much a shite show.

They TESTED positive or they just said "you were in contact with someone who tested positive, therefore you are positive"? If the latter... no wonder they are able to show huge leaps in the numbers of positive cases.

It is definitely the latter.

We were added as being positive and had to quarantine .

How do you know they were marked as positive? TRULY not arguing but just curious -- did they tell you? That's what a chart showed is indeed happening but I was hoping that it was wrong.

I have worked the entire time.

My job is considered essential.

I have twice been quarantined.

My work quarantined me in March because I took my family to Disney World in Florida.

I recently was quarantined for 7 days until my 3rd daughter received a negative test.

A co-worker just got tested. If he turns up positive my work will force me to be tested, and I will get quarantined until I can provide a negative result.
