But you seem to now be arguing that men are more capable of controlling them? Or that they at least are expected to be more capable of self-control?
Both.
Men are expected to control their emotions in the course of everyday affairs way more than women are expected to, and they do so.
But it goes way deeper than that.

I’m not arguing from a Marxist framework or invoking one.
You got to the mischaracterization part really quick on this thread.
I never said you were arguing anything on this thread from Marxism. I said that studying Marxist derived writings has trained you to think a certain way and that way of thinking is evidenced on this thread.
But you knew that.

What works have you inferred influenced my contributions to this thread?
Honestly, I’m annoyed by you constantly blaming vague Marxist and feminist ideas, theories and now texts and attributing every thought I have to them.
If you think my thinking has been shaped by something specific, at least tell me what you think it is.

This place demonstrates the exact opposite of that. This board is populated primarily by men who spend all day insulting other people over inconsequential political opinions.
Conviction and incarceration rates demonstrate the exact opposite of that. Murder rates demonstrate the exact opposite of your claim. Property crime convictions demonstrate the exact opposite of your claim. Domestic violence rates demonstrate the opposite of your claim.
what are you basing the claim that men actually exercise greater self-control on? What observable behavior or evidence leads you to that conclusion?

Your weekly karenisms, including your last post, are a good start. Just STFU and take a Midol, Karen.

Aside from this case because we are far from the whole story, but typically anyone that is under privileged you consider them as the victim even they are almost always responsible for their places in life. They are not victims. I am not sure you are capable of objective reasoning because of the victim mentality. They need advocates but advocate for taking responsibility.

It doesn't make it any less true that you have been trained to think a certain way whether I can name the specific books you've read or not.
You think the same way that academia has trained countless academic wokies to think.
Am I really to conclude that you came up with your thought patterns on your own, parallel to the tide of mainstream academic thought, while reading it, as a complete coincidence?
We can pretend that if you'd like. Doesn't matter to me.
Because all of this niggling is beside the point, and you know it. The thinking is either correct or flawed. That's the point. Whether you adopted it on your own, from a book, from a class lecture, or by plain old cultural/social osmosis in the academic context in which you live.
In this case, it's either true that western society has normalized the sexual objectification of women, or it's true that we're living in a time in which that claim has never been more false in western society.
That's the point. It's obviously the latter.
So you tell me, what is it that has caused you to adopt such an obviously flawed claim if not the academic environment that makes the same obvious blunder with regard to race, class, economic systems, and everything else under the sun?
It doesn't really matter, but if you don't like me pointing that out, then you tell me.

How many times have you preached that this board does not in any way represent mainstream thought? Actually, you say that about just about anything that anybody posts from anywhere, but you definitely say it about this board.
So why is this board significant as an evidentiary exhibit in this discussion all of a sudden?

I’m currently reading Milton Friedman.
You seem to believe women lack the capacity to formulate ideas or opinions. You have repeatedly insinuated and now explicitly named that my ideas are not my own, but instead are a regurgitation of an academic works you can’t identify.

Yours is an assumption which ignores a massive volume of associated baseline information ... evolutionary biology, amygdala-prefrontal interface differences, somatic priming, delayed cortical developmental differences, etc.
