Sho nuff.
A lot of people don’t know that the CIA actually created Islam and was the instigator of Islam taking over Africa and Mesopotamia.

Again, are you denying there won't be replacements or new groups filling the void?
I haven’t ever addressed where this could go or where it ends up. I said the weekend was an incredible accomplishment and you disagreed. You trying to change the discussion just shows you want to downplay the weekend being a great accomplishment.

If nothing else happens, we just took out the top 50 in the regime of the lead state sponsor of terrorism, severely hurt China, and completely realigned the world order with Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and other Islamic states siding with the US and Israel. If you want to wait until we see who takes over in Iran go for it. This weekend could not have possibly gone better and is exactly what making America strong again looks like.

If Iran just keeps on chugging under new management, did we do anything other than kill 50 Muslim meat suits?

Is this your first ME conflict? When has that sort of threat ever worked?

We had the same threats for Al Qaeda and it's still going strong internationally. ISIS still exists. The Taliban controls Afghanistan.

yeah ISIS is the same it was before Trump, right? Trump isn’t interested in long drawn-out regime change wars. But if you attack the US or threaten us, you’re dead. You people are completely incapable of realizing Trump isn’t Bush or Obama or anybody in modern memory. You’re viewing it as the same as every other conflict. That’s not how Trump operates.

Allegedly

And if proven true, that's what makes my comments even more important. What's the long-term point/goal?

We already did this song and dance last year, people like you claimed victory, and we are already back like 8-9 months later doing it again, which means the 2025 op was a failure (unless you define the goal so narrowly it makes the mission itself rather insignificant).

Such a weird way to try to push everything through a Trump-based lens.

All of this isn't necessary for the analysis, and the actual analysis isn't about comparing Trump to anyone else. It's about the possible/likely paths that are being formed as a result of this conflict, and if those are net positives/good for the US.

You're already claiming victory when this appears to have just started, which seems a bit silly. Hitting a grand slam in the 1st inning doesn't guarantee victory.

Crippling China’s access to oil and showing them that their weapons and systems cannot compete with ours.

That will likely require forced regime change, with the regime chosen by the US/Israel, which would probably create a civil war and make Iran ground zero for all the crazy Muslims from North Africa east to the Stans.

*ETA: worst case scenario would be a Vietnam-like scenario where China supports the sectarian violence specifically to ground us down in a long-term quagmire

I think we have already crippled it. And the ayatollah is dead. There is going to be regime change.

We killed some Muslim meat suits, yes.

There are tens of millions left to replace them.

It's as if people don't even know the history of Iran, and I mean the past 100 years. not the past 2500 years

Typical libertarian. If you want the United States to prosper, we have to be strong and act on our interests, not be a pacifist bitch libertarian.

Spoken like quite the Trotsky disciple. The American neoconservative justification for foreign policy interventionism mirrors his own concept of permanent revolution. Congratulations.

Because I think the US should act in our own self-interests, I’m a communist? You’re dumber than I thought. Bush and Cheney ca eat a bag of dicks. I’m not for endless wars. I am for taking out a dictator who tried to kill our president and kept finding to ways to attack us. Taking no action ever is being weak and will only lead to your downfall.
