re: Comey indictment misquotes Comey. Bad form for a prosecution involving what was said.

Sorry to hear that about Judge Brady. Universally respected. Judge Walter is almost 90.
It amazed me that federal judges let clerks draft their decisions. He, of course, would tell me what I said wrong. And told me what to correct. But it just seemed so strange to me. I was fresh out of school and was drafting an opinion on a rapper suing another rapper over lyrics.
Best of all was judge Brady quoting the lyrics

I was tight with some professors (I just messaged Andi Carroll via FB a couple weeks ago b/c she was a topic that came up among some younger lawyers) and respected others (like Corbett and Kalinka 100x over)
Bowers (RIP) was my mentor, though. He made the gunners go insane. His wife tried to grind me into a dust (I was called on like 7 days in a row at one point) in the following semester.
I had no respect for any Order of the Coif person who didn't take at least 2 tax classes, also. A couple of my close friends did both. Big ups. No grade padding there.

Same! Judge Walter and I only disagreed about the outcome of one case.

Yep. That’s the one. The ivory guy I went after hard….but he is clearly an attorney. Just overstating his position. In my opinion.

So now you are inferring figurative meaning to the statement. Figurative meaning that's nonsense by the way.

He has stated he is a retired immigration attorney. I think he is another SFP alt.

Kalinka was my mentor. She is why I went to get my LLM. It’s so funny how you realize the teachers we idolized in school are just like us. Odinet is a huge hitter now in the professor world.
It’s also crazy how people we went to school with are judges and professors. But I gotta tell you man. Corporate law is the way. Not c suite. But close. And it’s fun.

Lol, Turbeaux. With the cooling of tempers, I realized that I had become an advocate rather than just a reporter.
I should have just said, "I can't believe that Halligan had a direct quote of Comey on 9/30/20 which he never said on 9/30/20."
The importance of it? Who knows. Unfortunately, (I really am a conservative who detests Comey) this particular case has other, more damaging flaws.

Nah. I know SFP. It isn’t an alter. If he was an immigration attorney he should be thankful for Trump. Business is booming.

SFP is a good dude playing devils advocate. I rarely post to him because we know each other. But he is smart AF. Maybe I’ll start going after him some more to exercise the brain!
FU SFP. You want some???

The difference in a good person (Kalinka) and a bad person (Devlin) is that Kalinka knew I was not a great tax student and didn't read or put in effort, and outside of Tax Policy didn't really participate (although she asked me if I did Moot Court after b/c of my presentation), but once she randomly ran into me 3L year in the library (I was waiting on a friend I clearly wasn't studying) and she asked me if I was doing UF, Georgetown, or NYU and I told her I wasn't LLM material. She emphasized how I could and that she'd write me a glowing recommendation and that a Kalinka rec meant something at those schools.
And that was an actually complex subject matter and now 1L nonsense that Devlin peaked at.

Even if you are correct (something I highly doubt), you really should change the title of the string. If I’m reading your analysis (and I use that term lightly) correctly, what you’re saying is that Comey is going to get off on a technicality because The indictment was incorrectly worded.
This has nothing to do with whether or not Comey is innocent or guilty. He clearly lied to the committee both in 2017 and 2020. If he does get off, Congress should subpoena him again and ask him the same damn questions.
