Did this guy really believe cooperating with the Special Counsel and publicly registering as a Democrat would keep him out of prison? They recommended 42 months after all that. Never cooperate with a fascist frick like Honest Bob.

Did you read the sentencing memo? Honest bob is pretty clear on why the frick should get 4 years.
If Cohen didn't want to do time, he shouldn't have done the crime.

He lied and made public false statements to try to coordinate stories. Coming around still got him substantial leniency. He pleaded guilty to 9 felonies including the financial crimes which carry pretty significant time under the guidelines.
