@DougAndres

The Senate has just confirmed the 50th Circuit Judge in less than three years.

For context, President Obama had a total of 55 in EIGHT years.

@burgessev

Trump tightens grips on judges as McConnell wins 50th Circuit pick. He says in interview he’s looking to clear the deck on district judges too before end of year

“Whatever’s on the calendar, I’m going to make every effort I can to clear them all,”

Replying to @burgessev

Before impeachment, one last power play. McConnell wants to do as many as 18 District judges this month. Time is running short and Dems don’t want to cooperate, though some are their nominees. Thune says they’ll just abandon Dem nominees and focus on R nominees without a deal

Obama's boy says

Replying to @burgessev

Rather than just winning an election, @brianefallon says Dems need to expand the lower courts

“Democrats are wrong to think the solution involves simply winning the next election so we can have our turn to nominate people again,” LINK

What was the reasoning for Obama being so nonchalant about judicial appointments?

Obama was too busy funding and arming the foreign enemies of our country, he was leaving these for Killary to do when it was "her turn"

Part of it was GOP held Senate from 2014- so they froze many nominations. Until after 2016, GOP voters were much more focused on the Courts than liberals (this is likely true today although to a lesser degree).

Probably a combination of two things:

1. The GOP senate was cock blocking him.
2. Why push his judicial appointments though and have to compromise with GOP senate to get center left leaning judges approved when he could wait for Hillary to win and get a Democrat senate. This way Hillary would be able to appoint communists.

But Hillary lost and the GOP still controls the senate.

dont see them winning the senate back next year, and i dont see them winning the WH back either.... and to nominate and confirm judges you need both now
