he also is a personal friend of Democrat governor John Bel Edwards. They hunt and fish together. one of the many reasons Edwards was elected was because O hugely endorsed him. Don't shoot the messenger

O is a recruiter and a salesman. The headcoach at LSU knows its hugely beneficial to have the Governor on his side.

He can follow his advice on playing this season if the players are largely testing negative. It doesn't make sense to cancel the season because the community at-large is dealing with a pandemic. They have figured out a way to move forward. The worst part about the lockdown was not having a basketball season, baseball, or the thought of losing football. If it is possible for them to stay healthy and play in an empty stadium with cardboard cut-outs and piped-in sound, it's better than nothing at all.
