Would be about 45% if we would stop watching them make fools of themselves!

The ratings are in for CNN, and they don’t look great.
According to AdWeek, CNN “was -30 percent in total prime time viewers, and -23 percent in total day viewers from last year” for the week of February 5–11.

CNN did not even crack the top 10 for primetime viewers on cable

What do you suppose is wrong with that company’s ownership? Do they just want AT&T to buy them up and shut them down? (Justice Department notwithstanding.)

Every news organizations ratings are down. Mainly due to the election coverage. It happens every 4 years. While the news ratings are up everyone else's ratings are down

That doesn’t account for their rotten [non]ranking:

Fox News (2,605,000)
MSNBC (1,747,000)
ESPN (1,385,000)

History (1,316,000)
USA (1,242,000)
Investigation Discovery (1,148,000)
NBC Sports Network (1,081,000)

Not true.
CNN rival, MSNBC, posted double digit growth in prime time viewers (+22 percent) and in total day viewers (+26 percent).

Nobody watches CNN or MSNBC.

If they do have it on, it’s just so their cats don’t get lonely during the day while they’re at work.

the fact that fox news is number 1 shows that our education system is failing

Incorrect. It shows that most of us know bullshite when we see it.

Look at the last presidential election results for further proof that I am correct in my opinion.

Fox News is 52 % negative stories on Trump. Only to extremists is this considered far right. You are so far left you can't see the middle.

No.
But it does imply something similar about you.

So let's make this simple for you, okay?

The country is roughly evenly divided politically.
With the exception of FNC, every TV news outlet leans left.
Essentially that creates an open "niche" market comprised of one-half the TV audience
All FNC need do to fill that (50% market) "niche" is hold neutral, or lean slightly right.

In fact, that is exactly what Fox does. It doesn't even have to do it well, or with 100% penetration. e.g., Shep Smith could easily be a news reader at MSNBC or CNN. Chris Wallace and MacCallum lean slightly left as well. In the end though, the fact FNC could decimate its primetime news shows, replace them with lower quality, and still barely lose a step, speaks volumes.

The fact that in the face of such an obvious market opening, all other outlets remain competing for control of just 50% of the market reflects how hardcore ingrained and politicized network production crews, staff, and anchors actually are. Ratings are money. The only reason not to change tack toward center is abject incapability to do so. Like a chain smoker who knows his habit is killing him, MSM networks are so committed to socialism that they are literally incapable of neutrality. Same is true of the NYTimes and WashPo.

Your inability to recognize the media equation for what it is, and then to further intimate anti-socialism equates to ignorance, reveals quite a bit about your own capacity.

Why does fox get the Republican tag?

Do libs really think its stacked with Hannity shows all day long?

MSNBC being #2 is scary.

Morning Joe has become the worst pile of Anti Trump propaganda.

because Shepard Smith is such an ideologue!

WHen cnn sells itself as middle of the road well then there's your answer.

kind of how George Bush (either one) and Mitt Romney were "extreme right wingers"

and in the MSM there are no "extreme" left wingers

ever notice how that works?

They cannot compete with NBC sports network?

That isn't even on my cable

They pay for what is probably half their viewers in airports.

Take all politics out of the discussion and I have no clue how Jeff Zucker is still running CNN. It just makes no business sense to me.

In a very short time, MSNBC went from a laughingstock to ratings champ, while CNN is getting curbstomped into last place.

Zucker should have been fired last year. Now the decision should be easier, yet there he is...still sitting on his throne destroying CNN.
