I agree and you’re right that failure to register as a foreign agent is not a violation of state law (if it is Flynn). I’d imagine each state has its own version of tax evasion regarding filing of state taxes so there could be some overlap with federal law there. I think anything beyond those two sets of charges is just pure speculation

The Money Laundering Control Act of 1986 (Public Law 99-570) is a United States Act of Congress that made money laundering a federal crime. It was passed in 1986. It consists of two sections, 18 U.S.C. § 1956 and 18 U.S.C. § 1957.

New York Penal Law § 470.15: Money laundering in the second degree

In order to hide proceeds from criminal activity such as drug dealing, gambling or theft, the perpetrators of these crimes sometimes take steps to convert money received from criminal conduct into money that appears to be from legitimate sources. This is called money laundering. There are 8 different money laundering crimes in New York. The distinguishing factors among the 8 crimes are the purpose for which the money was laundered and the amount of money laundered. Under New York Penal Law § 470.15 you could be prosecuted for money laundering in the second degree if you:

True. But if there's financial skeletons and shady deals RICO and wire/mail fraud can be incredibly powerful statutes to indict on.

He’s bringing substance. You’re dick riding and trolling, as usual.

You’re quickly moving up the Poli Board Hack Rankings.

money laundering is a pretty convenient one. it's federal because it's regarding federal currency. it's state because it's happening within a state jurisdiction. that'll be enough.

Money laundering is not something I woul dsee Trump pardoning for. I can see him trying to right a perceived wrong (potentially) but I don't view this in that vein.

Who knows. Will be interesting.

Odds on favorite is Manafort, with Kelly and Podesta, neck and neck for a distant second........

but that would also depend on where the money was coming from...

what if it's from ukraine/russia? a place where manafort has had massive business dealings in the past?

got this text from trump headquarters at 7:17pm

FROM: Trump Headquarters
Subject: RUSSIA?

After a year of lies, Crooked Hillary and the DNC have been EXPOSED, paying a company to use a foreign agent to take down President Trump.

...And the company they used has ties to RUSSIA.

We need the IMMEDIATE support of the American people.

DEMAND answers from Crooked Hillary and the DNC.

Take action. Expose their cover-up. Contribute and Fight Back NOW >> bit.ly/2yUfCw3

it's hard to be full of it when i'm not posting any opinions. i'm just backing up what ifs with supporting evidence for IF the what if happens to be true.

there's a lot things this could be.

it could be someone we've literally never heard of before.

regardless, the original reason i posted is because people thought that a presidential pardon would be a get out of jail free card. and that that would upset liberals. well it might, but not the ones who know the law.

that's a strange one because Fox News just reported that a conservative thinktank paid for the dossier originally.

just pretty crass on a partisan political level.

How about pardoning your own campaign staff after being indicted by a special counsel? Where is that on your partisan political crass-o-meter?
