'm still of the opinion that all of this was put in place to take down Trump the citizen post election. They were planning to make an example of Trump to show what happens when you challenge the Establishment. Then Trump won and there was no exit strategy.
Someone, is dead on the money.

Manafort and Flynn and few others brought this problem to the Trump campaign. It also helped his campaign with Wikileaks.

There was no 'to'. The DNS traffic was all one way, from Russia. Kind of ridiculous to wiretap the server because it was being pinged repeatedly.
My statement was a general one about traffic "to or from" being monitored. But a DNS request will generate a response, so technically to/from. They didn't discover this traffic because the server was "wiretapped".

I think this is probably true. Let's spend three years and a whole lot of melts so we can be sure right before the God Emperor's glorious reelection.

Another computer researcher, Richard Clayton of Cambridge University, said it's just plain weird.
"It's not so much a smoking gun as a faint whiff of smoke a long way away. Maybe there's something else going on. It's hard to tell," said Clayton, who has independently examined the scant evidence available.
Does it seem odd that some dude from Cambridge has access to the "evidence" and is blabbing to CNN about it on the record?

Literally nobody has said that was discovered via 'wiretap'. That was the justification for the warrant

Could the fact this is being drug out be that evidence is being manufactured?
Media to IC - "Where's the evidence?"
IC - "We're still working on that. Need more time."

Internet traffic flows through a myriad of pipes and is logged in many locations.

Yes, I'm sure that's it...

I don't know if there was a conspiracy to do this or not...I am very skeptical...but I do know that there is a distinct possibility that this is going to be the outcome. I don't think anyone has forced Trump to be a lying buffoon....I think that is just what he is....but the establishment has to like their chances at bringing this one down over someone who isn't a lying buffoon...

The biggest crying shame about Trump is that he is highly likely to destroy populism in the United States for a couple of generations....and we had it coming. Most populous revolutions arise out of real and honest pain and suffering...this one sprang out of fear and loathing and discontent because life is too damned easy. Never in the history of man has a people had as much as we have in the United States and, strangely enough, never in the history of man has there ever been a populist uprising because the government made an attempt to ensure everyone had affordable health care and because billionaire were paying too much in taxes....this shite could only happen in a nation with a populace that has absolutely too much leisure time and too much security and comfort....we have to dream up shite to be scared of....it is by far the damndest thing anyone in our species has ever witnessed....

Yes and an anonymous administrator named "Tea Leaves" (who is a private security researcher) is the one who first captured and distributed these data. He just "happened" to find Trump's e-mail server receiving what he thought was malware from Russia (which in itself is an odd premise to the rest of his story). Somehow him investigating the possibility that Russia was hacking Trump turned into "Russia is secretly communicating with Trump to hack the election. OMG".
The whole thing is silly. Why? Because the FSB is not stupid enough to use DNS to collude with Trump, nor would they be sending e-mail to "trump-email.com". There are much better ways to go about clandestine communications and you can bet Russia is aware of that. Nor would Alfa bank be dumb enough to wire money directly to Trump Tower on a server that hosts "trump-email.com".
And now it appears to be confirmed that the FBI investigated Trump because of these specious claims. The question is did Obama or the DOJ sign off on this? If so, one has to question their motives for obvious reasons.

So unreal that with three tweets Trump has willed this server controversy to the top of the headlines.

Trump is basically dragging this out long enough to muddy the waters and hope people forget about it-- look at even the hard right Congressmen like Gowdy- all seem skeptical.

Which means BBC, NYT, WaPo, Guardian, HeatStreet, and other outlets were all wrong. All their sources were wrong. A pack of lies.
Either way, Trump wins.
