You need to read the quote I replied to.

I see. But you would agree that he was wrong and it’s not unconstitutional or illegal?

Im not an international law attorney, dont know.
It should be, unless you want rogue actors doing the same.

What do you mean by rogue actors?

Any politician or political leader that unilaterally thinks they can kill people at sea with no evidence.

Thank goodness he is POTUS and CiC

What do you mean no evidence?
We know how they traffick their drugs. We know where from and what types of boats. Theres like a chain of evidence that starts with human intel, then SIGINT, and hours of aerial surveillance that takes place with hundreds of people in the kill chain prior to a strike. Just because you haven’t seen the classified intelligence doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
You don’t like the strikes, I get it, but don’t be one of those people that thinks the navy is just blowing up random boats in Caribbean for the fun of it.

Exactly what I said.

The new survey found that only 30 percent of Americans said they continue to support military presence off the South American country’s coast while the number who disapproved has remained roughly the same as it did in September, at 37 percent.
Unless the administration is more transparent, this issue will bury them.
Posted on 12/9/25 at 3:55 pm to RogerTheShrubber
It’s not like they’re denying anything. In fact they’re advertising the strikes. That’s pretty damn transparent. Anyone who honestly believes these aren’t drug trafficking boats, whether you support the strikes or not, is retarded.

Very few people think this is about drugs.
If this were about drugs, we wouldnt be sinking cocaine shipments headed to third parties.
Its about regime change, we're being lied to.

CNN needs to watch the Dutch CG, Royal Dutch Marines, and Navy take down Venezuelan drug runners around Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. They shoot too.

Wet dream?
The mid terms will be about...stay with me, the direction the voters think the economy is headed.

You’re probably right. But they’re still drug boats. As I’ve said I wish we were conducting a wider anti-trafficking campaign. But as it stands now it’s just Venezuelan drug boats. We’ll see what the regime change strategy is soon if there is in fact one.

There’s nothing unconstitutional or illegal about attacking the boats.
Very likely there is. Again, this is not new from Trump. In his first term he assassinated an Iranian general and it was probably a violation of international law. And he justified it the same way, by having Iran's military classified as a terrorist organization.
Even if domestic courts and international tribunals rule that it is legal, that's only one reason to be careful about this sort of thing. There are three considerations here IMO:
1. Legality
2. Morality
3. Practicality
The third is the one Roger is talking about. Setting a precedent for any country in the world to decide that people outside of their legal jurisdiction and borders are doing something they don't like and justifying blowing them to smithereens as a result may not be very smart from a practical standpoint.
Especially if you are one of the "'Muh 'Merca 'Fust" parrots on here. If you don't want America to have to police the world, this is the dumbest thing you could possibly do. You're just inviting international conflict.

About that...
There is a correlation between how people distrust Trump on Venezuela and the economy.
He needs to focus on this country, and attacking cocaine shipments to Trinidad sure aint doing that.

He had the Quds force designated a terrorist organization. Which they are by pretty much ever definition of the word.

International “tribunals” don’t really apply to the United States. Might makes right whether anyone likes it or not.
Morally I have no problem with it but I guess I can understand why some people do.
Practically I think it’s a good first step but would like to see it expanded across Latin America.

Roger was talking about future US leaders I believe. International Rogue actors will do rogue shite. That’s what makes them rogue actors.

Not in any appreciable numbers. It’s too expensive and too logistically complicated.
