I don't care about this CNN bitching

But if Trump continues to not travel with a press pool, that is not normal for Pres-Elect and I hope he reconsiders

He is going to hurt our ratings. Reality is that Trump will only appear on FOX now to sink CNN's ratings further into the toilet.

Knowing Trump, he has a press pool but didn't invite CNN.

I've seen enough "normal" politics to make me sick.

I am all for abnormal at this point.

Nah, he didn't travel with one today. Which I think is overblown because it is basically day 1 of the transition.

But some really good reporters were raising this concern today in much less dramatic fashion than CNN. I don't think it's alarming, I just hope it isn't some intentional decision that will continue in the future.

Eh, shutting down shitty journos during the campaign is one thing.

Limiting media access now that he's got the job is different.

This is what I wanted. A president that doesn't have to be on TV 24/7. I suppose I'll take four years of them covering not being able to track him down for sound bites if he gets shite done as president.

It would have been awesome if CNN had requested a press pass, and Trump would have said something like, "No, those are reserved for the actual press." Or if he let everybody BUT CNN follow him around.

What they don't understand is they have no leverage.

What will they threaten him with? A hostile media? What the frick has he faced for the last year and a half?

He is going to treat them like the shits they are and will use Facebook and online media to go around them.

Yeah, no thanks.

If you legitimately want the POTUS to control media access to him and limit it to friendly media sources, you're out of your mind.

I'm reasonably upbeat about Trump, but that is just insanity.

So pray tell, just what about a DJT presidency based on fundamental change is expected to be "normal" and "routine"?

He was elected to NOT be normal and routine as those now are synonymous with crooked and corrupt

Any democrat that asks this question after 8 years of Obama, Hillary and the DNC then they're truly delusional. I hope he gives the MSM nothing.

I'd love to see your connection between this question and the OP.

For example, he can interact with the press as untraditionally as he likes for all I care.

But greatly curtailing media access to the WH should be appalling to anyone, if that were to happen.

You can't bitch about transparency in government and want a different path, and then say "Well I like Trump, so who gives a shite if he shuts out the press and I only get the scoop from him and selected media outlets." I guess you can, but it'd be batshit crazy.

There is press everywhere he goes. Let new ones pick him up when he lands. They just want a free ride.
