How do you like your economy?

People are spending like the economy is booming. Something seems off.

I don’t believe this is accurate. Retailers are noticing pre-recessionary spending trends. Larger purchases are being delayed.

Because the market is forward looking and one of the Fed's metrics to ease rates back down is unemployment going up.

Today's market uptick won't last in these volatile times but that's the thinking.

I wonder how much the pandemic market crash only three years ago will confound the recession signals today?

Of course, demprogs printing money and borrowing like there is no tomorrow while the Fed is jacking up interest rates to fight inflation may have been curtailed somewhat. However, Brandon and his Marxist minions are still doing all in their power to spike the supply chain.

The unemployment rate is a farce.

It only considers people that in the “workforce”.
If you aren’t employed or actively looking, you aren’t included.

Labor force participation rate is 62.6%.

It’s already here. Just a question of when it gets so bad that we stop pretending it’s not here.
