At some point, words which are employed to promote a contrarian subjective belief in a battle for absolute authority become more divisive that a slap in the face of one’s opponent. The Left has already embraced political assassination (think Charlie Kirk and the reaction therein) and it is just a matter of time before the Right is forced to. Trump’s strategy to surreptitiously militarize Civil LE via enforcing deportation and urban violence policy and form the structural institutional basic for the inevitable and violent confrontation is obvious to those who look beyond the daily legal dramas.

Note that they are laying the evidentiary groundwork for a ‘Grand Conspiracy’ prosecution. Rogue and complicit Judges would be front and center. I have no idea how this plays out in the long run, as economic conditions will factor in. But it will be inevitable and big.

Apparently if you're a Democrat you can just do whatever you want.
Yet another straightforward question that is being made unnecessarily partisan.

Halligan was not properly appointed. Black and white.

If it were Biden, rather than Trump, everyone here would agree.

At the core of the argument is the question of whether the US attorney general — in this case, Pam Bondi — can make multiple interim appointments to fill a US attorney position when the candidate can’t get confirmed by the Senate.

quote:
James and Comey are seeking to have their cases — for bank fraud and lying to Congress, respectively — dismissed on a technicality, claiming Bondi used up her one opportunity to appoint someone to the empty position for a 120-day period when she installed Halligan’s predecessor.

Whitaker countered during Thursday’s hearing, “The attorney general is entitled to multiple 120-day appointments.”

This right here is some absolute bullshite. That would only buy them time though, as the next confirmed prosecutor would pick up the case and file new charges. Dems gonna dem though. The Republican Senators better quit playing nice. Nuclear option and ram everything through.

It appears me that the effort to exclude Halligan on a technicality is really just a sideshow and will little affect on the core of the case, which is weak IMO.
