Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper on Thursday said that there was “passive collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia despite Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s findings that conclude there was no conspiracy.

Clapper began by defending the foundation of the Russia probe, telling CNN anchor Anderson Cooper that there was “good reason” for intelligence agencies and law enforcement “to be concerned about whether or not there was some kind of conspiracy between the Trump campaign and the Russians.”

The top Obama official blasted President Trump for claiming that President Obama “did nothing” to prevent Russia’s interference during the 2016 election, saying his former boss “directly confronted Putin” and “asked him to stop the interference.”

He claimed that Russia’s social media campaign “turned the election in Trump’s favor” in targeted states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania,

“If there wasn’t active collusion proven, then I think what we have here is a case of passive collusion where in some cases, unwittingly, to include candidate Trump himself, who retweeted messages that had been planted by the Russians in social media,” the CNN national security analyst told Cooper. “That’s a small, but important, example of how members of the campaign were used and manipulated by the Russians.”

So now they are just moving the goalposts to fit an investigation. Only the democrats can lose an election that they rigged and lose an investigation that they rigged. These people are stupid.

There is good reason to believe that Clapper was involved in collusion with Russia, and he is trying to deflect attention from that fact.

Clapper is treasonous scum.

Clapper should be more intersted in what countries we don't have extradition to.

It’s possible that when all of this is said and done, that all involved in the “get Trump at all cost” narrative, were all involved in some sort of law breaking. Trying to cover up their wrong doings before Trump made them pay for their crimes.

So he went from unwittingly colluding to passive collusion.

Guess they will have to dust off old sparky for this dramatic increase of severity of this "possible" crime that "may" have been committed.

The spinning has become a perpetual motion machine that defies the laws of physics.

Weinstein may as well have written...

Dear Nadler,

The following sensationalized opinions can be stated to say obstruction so you can impeach the orange bad man.

Also: you can note he is orange from secret Russian tan bed oil, and he is bad.

Mulehead report says no passive collusion. No active collusion. No pink collusion. No weak collusion. No republican collusion. No long collusion. No short collusion. No English collusion. No German collusion. No deer collusion. No rabbit or bird collusion. No adjective collusion. No verb collusion. No adverb collusion. No female collusion. No air collusion. No alien collusion. And two others I can't remember collusion.

Notice how Clapper never mentioned obstruction? Because he is desperately trying to interpret 'passive collusion', because w/o any named crime or offense, there cannot be any obstruction.

Mueller summed it up when he said that the Trump campaign was aware of the russian efforts but took no criminal steps to aid it

How does this relate to the ridiculous concept call the passive collusion?

I knew a lot of people supported Hillary and I took no steps to aid them. Does this mean I passively colluded with them to support Hillary?

You people are fricking absurd

If two people want the same goal and they work at it individually they aren't passively colluding.

frankly Americans should be much more concerned with the fact that their media overtly collides with one party
